I swear to god, I will pirate the fuck out of this game come the 11th

Meh, playing offline is half the game when it comes to FromSoft. Enjoy your nice shitty ronery play without invasion, coop and messages.

Actually this time it could be better game...

I am trying to stay silent on game but i have read somewhere that you can summon up to 6 people in DS3. Which is basically clausterfuck. Event DS2 was clusterfuck with more than 2.

Well I personally consider coop in Souls games completely stupid for your first few "serious" playthrougs, including NPC summons. It completely eliminates any challenge from the game. I guess it could be fun when you've played the game back and forth and now you just want to fuck around, ganking people and such.

Anyway invasions and covenants are crucial elements of the games and playing it offline is half the fun.

There will be offline summons even though some of them will be shitty. I'll pirate to know if the game will run on my potato since it can run DS1 & DS2

I prefer offline too because the summon signs on the ground kind of point out all the secrets and take a little of the fun out of exploring. I also don't like the lag I experience in PVP and that is with cable internet. I'm on WiFi right now and I know it would be a clusterfuck if I played online.

Speaking of hardcore ass whoopings, has anyone managed to beat The Revenge of Shinobi (1989)? I gave it a shot the other day and made it to stage 4 after so many deaths, but it was too much. It'd take a ninja gamer to beat that game. So I challenge you to beat it without emulation save states if you think you are some Dark Souls god, because DS has not got shit on it. At least when you're getting your ass whooped you get to listen to a real funky soundtrack though.

And no, this is not a game I'd recommend as an older alternative to Dark Souls, that'd probably Ninja Gaiden Black, Blade: Severance of Darkness, or Castlevania: SOTN or something, heck even King's Field, but this ninja game kicked my ass something crazy, yet I'm not sure if it's entirely unfair, just HIGHLY skill-based.

Pretty sure I beat that when I was ten or whatever.

I remember having beaten Ninja Gaiden on a fucking rental as a kid. I tried that shit in emulation and puked bone chips

This too. If you play online then basically all secrets are out of bag.

I will probably do offline 2-3 playtrought and then switch online on. Though i kind of want to see if there is Yellow head moment in DS3... which would be a shame to not see.

Preload is nice and quick, glad to see Steam got their shit together this time.

Except the price. Bought the Deluxe at GamesPlanet for 60 jewro while it's 85 on Steam.

Size is surprisingly small, from what I can remember Dark Souls 2 needed around same amount of space.

I just wish there was an option to play online and hide that shit somehow, because besides telegraphing secrets and stuff it can fuck up some fights aswell. Excecutioners Chariot in DSII comes to mind, I could never get my shield up because every nook was filled with bloodstains and messages and it kept switching between those instead of stances :argh:

That pisses me off too. I would prefer for boss fights that the blood stains/messages would disappear until it is done. I like them in general but I remember getting screwed once.

These estimates are useless, people finish games in crazy different times. I've seen people claim they finished their first playthrough of Witcher 3 in 50 hours, or DS1 in 30 hours. Either they're bullshiting or they're just sprinting through games, clicking away the dialogues and not looking left or right. Whatever, it's their money. If DS3 takes 45 hours to finish for these kind of dildos then I'll spent at least 100 hours fucking around in it.

With 4 votes, it was 33,5 hours. Apparently, the 73 hour "leisure" guy raised the medium. The sample is too small to tell.

In reddit, users report that patch 1.03 has improved FPS in problematic areas a lot.. So this extra 20 days waiting from Japanese release maybe be worthwhile after all...

I'm glad there's a wide variety of weapons to choose from, I want to play this so bad my ass is hurting, as preloads are the biggest teases in the history of gaming.

Very funny how the topic of this game/series being too difficult has resurfaced.
