New official video by the nerd version of Jared Kushner.

I to this day cannot understand why anyone would want to see the damage numbers during actual gameplay. It adds no usable information to your character. I can understand that misses and evades are shown in some way but damage numbers? Why? Especially when the numbers crank up to ridiculous levels in conjunction with high attack speed and DoTs flying around all they do is obscure more of the actual game. Absolutely retarded that these fuckwits are not turning them off outside of (dummy) tests.

Crit dmg is yellow, overpower dmg is blue, crit-overpower dmg is orange. Useful to keep track of how often they proc (at least while experimenting with build tweaks).

Yeah, but you should be able to turn it off. It's just visual Diarrhea.

There are 3 settings in the game. Show all damage numbers, show no damage numbers and show only when you do one of the special effects like critical or overpower.

well, I can live with that.

Our primary goal with the Layout changes was to reduce certain kinds of backtracking which detract from a player’s experience. An example of this change is that players previously needed to enter side rooms to interact with Structure Objectives, causing them to retread the same path. Now, many of our Structure Objectives have been repositioned along main dungeon pathways, making them easier for players to reach and allowing them to readily explore the dungeon after defeating the Structure.

Just make everything a sqaure room with mobs that come to you, that way you dont have to move. Hit a few buttons, loot gets thrown at your feet in a cascade of slot machine sounds, and have a single button to press that auto selects any loot upgrades and equips them for you.

Why are they making it sound like they've dumbed down the map structure because it's too complicated for their dumb players to understand when in reality it was just bad design lmao

I will be purchasing this title soon. PM me if you want to play. I'm looking for new friends. All my old ones hate me :(
Best place to look for a Diablo IV player buddy would be probably at Blizzard forums, because a) people there are into Diablo IV, b) they're gamers, c) they might look for a player buddy too!
I'm not interested in the game myself, but I hope ma post is any of help and wish you luck in finding a friend to play with!
d) they have the same intellectual capacity as SDG

Remember the time when Blizzard game releases were like a video game industry celebration?
I remember getting the yuge Warcraft 3 collector's edition and being terribly disappointed with the game. Was nice having a dvd of just the game's cinematics because everything else was uninspired.

i would say blizz was rock solid until WoW started making hundreds of millions per month in subscriptions (sometime around The Burning Crusade era) and then Kotick got involved and it was all downhill from there quite rapidly

now blizzard games are generic trash

But Kotick/Activision/jew capitalists were able to pick every bit of meat off the bone before leaving the brand for dead

The cancelled Warcraft Adventures:Lord of the Clans(almost finished with great voice acting from Clancy Brown) and made WoW. Blizzard got insanely rich due tot WoW and that's why it took them 10 years to make Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3. They spined it like they needed time to make quality games but they did not give a fuck since WOW was provinding a constant flux of money. Starcraft 2 was good but Diablo 3 was garbage.

Warcraft 3 was mocked as abandonware for long time, released with unplayable battlenet for days and was laughed for it's mediocre graphics. That "blizzard quality" is marketing/journo speak for retards on the same level some people talk about Ubisoft or Sony quality.

Activision meddling in Blizzard stuff is very, very recent thing. It shows that people don't know what their are talking about if they think Kotick has anything to do why Blizzard sucks so much or that the shitty monetization practices were a thing Activision brought when merged. Lets not forget Blizzard was one of the pioneers of shitty monetization with monthly subscriptions.

We can argue about WarCraft 3, but Blizzard games were top notch in the second half of 90s, from WarCraft 2 to StarCraft: Brood War.

Source?

Once activision and blizz merged, Kotick became CEO of both companies (Blizzard knew Kotick had a bad reputation with gamers, so it was done quietly, and they spun it to the public as despite the merger activisition and blizzard would remain two separate entities, but Kotick was the top guy both activision execs and blizz execs were reporting to). Once Kotick/activision got involved all of the crap business practices in Activision games started rearing their ugly head in every Blizzard game/decision.

And it got worse and worse and worse and here we are today. I don't know any Blizzard fans that haven't been madly disappointed by one business move or another over that time. ANd now nobody trusts the brand. I don't think Kotick cares, he made out like a bandit with a short-term/immediate-profit business strategy before selling to Microsoft.
