Decline DiD WoW ruined MMOS?

The worst "damage" WoW did to MMOs is probably business-wise. After it became mega-successful, other companies that wanted to develop MMOs did so with the sole goal of copying this mega-success in regards to both its yuge playerbase and its financial gains (it was common to market all prominent MMOs under development as "WOW KILLERS" back in the late 2000s, early 2010s), but always falling short. So, when X-Y-Z MMO came out and fared objectively quite well financially and population-wise, the top heads at its parent company declared it a failure nonetheless because "it didn't reach 10 million subscribers like WoW and doesn't rake in a profit of 1 billion dollars per month, therefore it failed and we must shut it down".

There are PRC servers for NWN who have no problem with multiple summons.
About AoC, i usually don't like much the mmo genre, but liked AoC experience as an necromancer(until the lv cap. On lv cap becomes only farming gear and spamming the same rotation)

Now the game is in a constant decline. But funcon added necromancy on Conan Exiles, an SURVIVAL game
And yes, IMO survival games have more RPG elements than MMO games.
