PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
Ok, I'm buying it tonight, full price. Let's go. It's Friday anyway.

What I think is remarkable that it can get endorsements both from banalshitboring mainstream reviewers (PC Gamer, IGN) and virgin Nazis (JarlFrank) and certified Bulgarian retards (Fantadomat) and prestigious Communist intellectuals (me) and otherwise notable Codexians (TwinkieGorilla). It's only a slight exaggeration to say that only people who really don't like reading hate it (only considering people who actually play it).
Actually, my only concern about the game was the fact that you recommend it.

The scene *is* a little ham-fisted, namely due to the way Kim reacts to the whole thing. It seems out of character. Racial tensions don't really seem like the biggest issue in the city.
Kim is of a mixed race (something you have to find out from him), so it makes sense that he'd be irked by racism.

Believe me, this does not last. Beyond NPCs, the communist dialogue options tend to be the most bloodthirsty by far.
Yes, but knowing gommunists, that's rarely the same thing as misrepresentation, but we'll see.
Also, the scientific socialism thing is just a one-to-one ripoff of real world Marxist rhetoric. Especially Bolsheviks who thought Marxism was an actual science.
I know, but that's just it, it's not presented as a rip at all, at least not so far. There's a potential for a jab by referring to it as "scientific" gommunism, but it shies away from it.

People of mixed race doesn't have to be divorced from reality, though - although I agree, they have a tendency towards having to rationalize their own being rather than to face the facts, so it's incredibly common that they choose anti-racist escapism, but it doesn't have to be that way.

Of course I can only approve faggotry, there is no option to throw up or at least say that it disgusts me.

In general we have tons of pointless text here (like in this example where we're asking about magazine, WTF would a text like this be added even?). It will be interesting to see if reviewers will point it out like they did with Numenera or will they just say "why are you reading these parts? Just ignore them and focus on important stuff".

There's at least one opportunity later on to explicitly say that you hate homo-sexuals.
That's even worse because for some reason in a dozen (hundreds?) cases before either I could only praise it or ignore it at best but then suddenly I can say what I think? Inconsistent writing right there. Seriously, the very next conversation I'm seeing shit like this:

dJV0NmA.jpg

And in the previous dialogue choice tree the only option I had was "don't use such slurs as faggot", lol. Quality writing right there. What's also funny is that these cucks have censored the word both in writing and in audio. Seriously though, I understand that kids (and junkies at that) don't have to be eloquent but when I'm being bombarded with dialogues of similar quality again and again, and when I'm being shoved down my throat leftist agenda it's hard to focus on the good parts (which are hard to find here, besides the music and interesting art style I can't think of anything).

Leftist propaganda said:
"Stop using slurs at my crime scene", seriously?

First time someone uses protagonist's real name and no reaction (later only mild reaction and retarded question who he might have in mind even though I supposedly have 5 INT, lol) but when someone farts he immediately thinks about fume hood:

Why would an ugly man like Disco Cop disapprove of attractive lesbians?
Why do you assume they're attractive? Overinterpretation.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Bubbles In Memoria A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pathfinder: Kingmaker Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture
May or may not be related to my discovery a few minutes ago that I could make a surprisingly good smoothie with red bull, bananas, cucumber, spinach, kale, and lemon juice.
... but none of these ingredients contain Al Gul!

I wish it had fixed skill checks.
So stop spamming quickload and accept that sometimes you fail.

"Stop using slurs at my crime scene", seriously?
These are things being said by a person who's apparently* drunk, recovering an hour ago from 3 days of non-stop alcoholic abuse which nearly killed him, is confused as fuck and most likely suffering permanent brain damage. I felt that the weirdness of this and many other dialogue options are pretty fitting if you're playing as a drunk who's trying to act normal.

(* a few hours in, this may turn out to be wrong I guess... Loving the game so far.)

Magazines typically don't put ugly people on their covers, they want people to buy them.
Didn't know you're into fat women.

And yet he can recreate crime scenes perfectly with mathematical precision, leap of buildings, make logical conclusions, etc. etc.

Edit:
Roguey
I'm joking of course but that doesn't change the fact that you're jumping to conclusions.

lol
I went into the docks and now I can't get out unless I talk with Evrart. I literally have to talk to him to be able to leave, there's no other way because the exit is closed (I leaped off the railing). What's funnier is that I have 1 morale (and 2 morale charges) and the conversation with the fat guy costs me at least 3 morale no matter what :D (it's possible that I need 4 points or even more, who knows). Will have to go back and find some item that increases the morale or level up enough. Yeah, this game is so open world and has multiple solutions to a problem... Except there are invisible walls everywhere and a 2 meter gap is enough to stop us, lol. I'm playing this game for lulz now (not in a good way).

Project: Eternity Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pathfinder: Kingmaker
The Codex: LUL the game has no challenge, what is this shit
Also the Codex: WHAA I fucked up and now I can't progress
Disclaimer: I haven't played the game.

It is generally considered bad design when 90% of the game you just have to hold down the "continue dialogue" button, and then the remaining 10% you hit untelegraphed brick walls that requires you reload to 4 hours ago.

Pro:

- The game is a lot of fun and genuinly funny on many occasions.
- Uses a new RPG mechanic never seen before and does it well (the conflicting urges or voices in your head).
- Graphics and music are excellent.
- A lot of options on how you behave: down-to-earth, crazy as fuck, drug addict, racist, communist, end-of-the world prophet.

Con:

- At about 25-40 hours for one playthrough it is a bit expensive, in my opinion.
- C&C seems quite limited, it's certainly nowhere close to AoD regarding replayability.
- People who are used to almost non-stop combat in RPG's (like aweigh) may not like it, as it does play quite similar to an adventure game.
- The ending kind of underdelivers.

8.5/10

Jesus, how can you give it 8,5/10. It's pretty good, but it's 7/10 at best.

So the game is challenging because you can run into progress-blocking bugs?

He rolled a 1 Volition character, then broke into the harbour using a clearly indicated one-way entry point (the jump), into a conversation with the mindfuckiest character in the game without any healing supplies or character points, didn't find a way to beat the encounter without losing Morale, died, and got into a Game Over situation because said one-way jump stopped him from getting said healing supplies. That's not a bug, that's by design.

How would you have designed that? 'Cuz I can't see any way out of it that wouldn't have effectively removed a part or all of the challenges.

(N.b.: I agree with you that the game is easy. I just find it pretty hypocritical of you to loudly complain about the easiness in one post, then loudly complain about the few instances the game presents you with an actual challenge. Almost as if you had some kind of... agenda. Heads I win, tails you lose.)
