So the game tries to push the player to rush right to the objective, because otherwise they'd "just walk around."
Didn't you already talk about that before? Again, I think they put in more obvious solutions for players that are too inept at figuring out stuff themselves (no wonder after years of quest-compass).
They don't discourage people from "walking around" or exploring stuff, however.
There are a lot of legitimate complaints to be leveled against them, but this isn't one of them.
Almost every more in-depth review I've seen so far mentioned that there is a lot of shit too be discovered if you don't directly rush to the objective and you should, indeed, do so if you want to get the most out of the game.
