Update v1.0.67
11 JULY -LAR
Hi everybody!

Some fixes weren't ready in time for yesterday's update but they are ready now:

- Fixed issue where some game sessions could crash when playing in the Black Cove
- Fixed issue with missing sounds
- Region swapping while sneaking will no longer crash the client
- Fixed crash when the game didn't find a sound device
- Fixed issue when saving during the start of a combat

Please, don't forget to check the integrity of your game cache whenever an update is released.

To do so: right click on Divinity:Original sin in your library, select properties, click on local files and then click on "verify integrity of game cache".

Next week btw we'll be bringing you extra AI personalities together with a number of improvements based on your feedback.

Still no co-op fix? :(

Got problem with Co-op? Aside from 1 screwed save game on .53 version , no problem at all. well for now.
And you guys having fun with Co-op? my buddy is always is always winning argument with that +3 to charm and reason :argh:

my dumb ass cleric cant seem to argue properly, maybe its just luck , or he tru;y got no spine when it comes to arguying with women.

Also....Extra AI personalities?
meh would have loved to see some new henchman like Jahan and Madora. Id like to see what Larian could do with creating a nifty rogue to enlist to our cause

EDIT: saw the thread....and yeah its kind of a bitch to always have to push L and go to dialogue to see whats happening....thats 1 of the letdown and that co op playing mode....you still can see what are they saying if your close by....but yeah i would love to see another dialogue box for the extra player. At least just for seieing it

We will be getting two new companions eventually. It may be in that big patch next week.

Is there a way to decide who controls which companion in co-op? Right now, I ocntrol Madora, and we can't figure out whether I can grant that control to mjuul?

There is a "assign" character option somewhere. Can't recall where.

Grunker The only thing related to co-op dialogue that seems changed to me is that I get included in companion dialogue, which didn't seem to happen before. Then again maybe I just happened to be far away every time.

I think assign character is in the esc menu, esc and it should be at the top IIRC.

"If it bothers you that much you can start a new game and set the AI to loyal, your party won't question each others decisions then. You still have to play the minigame against NPCs though and since you can fail/botch quests if you lose, might want to learn to win. I usually start out with rock. If I win, I just assume the AI will pick next what would have beaten my last pick. This works most of the time. If I lose however, I assume the AI will behave exactly like that, e.g. if I lost with rock vs paper, the AI will assume that I'll pick scissors next and thus choose rock. I will therefor choose paper next. Win most of the time."

I already did the AI = loyal thing. I was talking about the npc convo. Anyways, the 'skip game and do a roll' thing makes it better for me. I don't mind 'failing' dialogue checks and dealing with the outcome. Just the general idea of dialogue coming down to RPS no matter how chahrsimatic/savvy/smart your character is is lame.

P.S. This game really needed a full manual explaining certain basic stuff. I'm still figuring out little things that could have been useful earlier. L0L Stuff that should be known.

Also anyone of you tried the 4 players Mod of the main module out there? I wonder how the flow of the game is when 4 players is in there , might be a good week end to experience that.

Trying to visualize this im my head....Might be quite chaotic , but a good or a bad kind of chaotic?

Thanks, we'll tinker a bit more. We're taking our first big stretch of playing over this weekend.

It's in the "ESC" Menu. Top button. It's normally grayed out unless you're co-op'd.

EDIT: nm, beaten to it.

You fuckers make me feel old and stupid seeing how far you're progressed
.

This is not a competition to win the game first. All that matters is that you are having fun. If you spend more hours than the rest us it just means you have more fun.
Very true. And God am I having fun. I can't actually remember when any game, let alone RPG, grabbed me this strongly. I just need to stop trying out different crafting combos, it's seriously distracting :D

Well, as I figured it out, my Madora build is gimped, she just eats damage for the most part. I think its a reason why I find some fights extremely difficult.

Also I wonder what SJW's will say when they see a scene played out of two gay soldiers(orc and a human) getting brutally killed cause the player told the boss they're in love. lul

Guh, I'm stuck stupidly. In the wizard's house, where is the amulet that you are meant to get? That is,

Zandalor's house, the amulet that grants passage to phantom forest. I looted the upper floors before tlaking to the servant family so I may have already taken it, but where is it meant to be & what does it look like?

I'm finding 2H warriors to be comically powerful when stacking buffs. By combining Oath of Desecration + Null resistances + Wildfire + Rage + Flurry, warriors are able to do 7,000 damage to a single target in one hit at lvl 16-17. And for AOE, Whirlwind + Dust Devil clears entire rooms.

Give them the leech talent and cast bloodletting on them whenever they are low and they are nigh invincible. To make it even easier take the zombie talent so the only damage type they need to watch out for is Tenebrium (which can be mitigated as well).

It's in the...
small jewelry box just right of the portal.

Looks like a normal amulet, without green/blue/orange border.

EDIT: Here's a screenshot.

I hope you have seen the 50 page manual that came the the game. If not you can download it on Steam.

But true it is not exhaustive. But Larian has always done it this way - I think they intend for you to figure things out as you go and then use that knowledge in later play-throughs. I think the consider this part of joy of exploration - also of game mechanics.

Crafting is good example of that. Useful but you can live without it but it adds extra to the game as you slowly learn more.
