On the other hand, I'm quite dissappointed that the Codex is beaten by other sites. RPG Watch, really? We are the bastion of true RPGs. Even if we are bitching about popamoles, we have higher traffic, bigger forums and more members. And more knowledge about RPGs. Why, Codex? Why have you abandoned me????

Ó Codex revoltado, quanto de seus bros
são usuários de Portugal!
Para em ti postarmos,
quantas noites lurkaram,
Quantos trolls em vão ignoraram!
Quantas noivas ficaram por casar
Para que fosses nosso, ó Codex!

Damn, this looks worthy. I'd love to pledge for a boxed copy, but I don't think I'll even be able to go for a digital copy before the campaign ends. Guess I'll have to settle for only contributing to our fundraiser :(

It's very short.
With Divinity: Original Sin, the RPG series returns to its isometric roots. As at gamescom 2012 have the RPG developer of Daedalic viewed and tested in cooperative mode.
The Larian Studios are currently working on an extensive expansion of its Divinity universe. This includes the RPG Divinity: Original Sin, which we at the gamescom 2012 could also allude themselves. Together with developers Benoît Louzas we jumped to second in the co-op campaign. The game will either be alone, so playable with up to four players in a heroic group.
Divinity: Original Sin is set in the familiar fantasy setting and relies very heavily on dialogue. Especially with multiple players can be in the talks funny situations arise, as each player in turn to it is to give an answer. The decisions of the dialogues will also have significant consequences for the rest of the game. The game world is full of details and objects with which the player can interact. A physics system also interesting effects by means of different schools of magic, such as fire and water.
The developers of Daedalic want to publish Divinity: Set Original Sin all developer tools are available, and so the community to provide the opportunity to design your own adventures. Biggest complaint is the graph that no longer serves contemporary. Also, the turn-based combat system might scare younger players. A publication of Divinity: Original Sin is scheduled for the second quarter of 2013.

The codex is more popular around the world, but the watch is more popular in the US :(

Romania fucking loves RPGs apparently, and Portugal really really loves the codex.

don't alexa rankings only count a very small portion of internet users - the people who have the alexa toolbar installed?
Yes, but it's a very rough ballpark way to compare the traffic of 2 similar sites. Definitely not anything close to accurate, though.

Wow, so short a preview and so many things wrong in it...

I played my first RPG when I was 12. It was an SSI Gold Box RPG. Turn based. Didn't scare me. On the contrary.

Also, don't feel bad guys, you're on number 4 in the referral list and only 1% behind RPGWatch.

Are the recruitable henchmen be able to be turned over AI control? I asked this in the KS comments too, but it's not answered yet. And I want to fucking know! :obviously:

Discussing it with my brother we came up with an interesting question... since combat & reputation are apart for both players, can one player start combat with the guards of a store, then the other player sneak in and steal everything while they are busy?

Also, what happens when one PC dies? Gameover?

Grunker: Explaining why they are doing it isn't selling. Selling is instantly convincing most readers that they must back it up NOW!

Edit: Coincidentally, this is why I dislike KS. Simply showing a game to people and explaining its features in great details simply isn't enough. You have to bring bells and whistles to amuse the retards and keep their fleeting attention on the page.

What's your definition of retard in this case? I suspect 90% of the people who want a new skyrim or whatnot leave that page the moment they see isometric, though i doubt many people would go and look for stuff like that on KS to begin with.

Anyway i personally think the video sells the game well because it focuses on presenting key features that are fun, new and innovative without sounding overly complicated - skillcheck in coop mode, using environment to your advantage in battle and showing that you can affect the environment to your liking, use-friendly editor. Key points of the game that look neat as fuck and attract anyone who'd look for interesting features in another RPG among the current incline of reborn behemoths and such. I really don't understand why you think the video itself is "bad selling"

This certainly seems to be picking up steam today. Very excited by this KS. Even though I've got a lot of $ in T:ToN, the Codex T:ToN drive, I have to put more into this one (as well as DU stealth Codex drive). I would LOVE for this to be the "Ultima" game I knew RG would never even try to make!

If I continuously cancel my pledge and repledge from this sight will the referral number go up?

He means that its "bad selling" for the biotards and other such next gen "RPG" wannabees.

Which I dont think is really necessary to target at all.

Bros, if you've already pledged (maybe it's even enough to have a Kickstarter account), it's best to ask these question through Kickstarter page (there's an "ask a question" button beneath the FAQs). I got answers in under an hour this way (yesterday).

Shit looks good, though I don't know if I'll chip in this time. It will come out regardless and their games have always been less than what the Codex love gives them credit for.

I'll wait and see.

FUCK IT! I'm in! Looked better the more I read and saw. Just an hour of slaving for the man, no biggie, for such incline!

I also like the personalized code bit so others don't have to suffer by seeing random KS tard #459 in your game. This shit should be mandatory for all KS games.
