Otherwise I think my party will be sausage fest.

I can't believe that is the mother of my god baby :(

Your god baby is non-canon now. Bioware made Dalish Elf who sacrificed his life slaying the Archdemon the canon Origin. So, even if you did have a child with her in your playthrough there will be only some throwaway dialogue to adress it. Meaning Bioware threw out the window one of the more interesting aspects of Origins, because they didn't know what to do with it. Bioware = Shit.

Well, Biodrones are already impressed. Seems like Bioware achieved their marketing goal.

Morrigan was about 20 years old in DA:O, now she looks like she is about 40 to 45 in DA:I.

No idea if that is intended or if their their lead character designer just fucked up (latter is more likely).

The only explanation for this I can imagine is that the dimension she was in has a different flow of time. Maybe time flows faster on the other side the mirror she went through.
But I don't give Bioware writers that much credit.

Also Morrigan could be killed in Witch Hunt and yet she shows up in the promotional materials:

Seras (or whatever the fuck her name is) character design kinda reminds me of this brilliant polish clip.

But while Mister D is awesome, I don't really think that Bioware intentionally wanted to make their elven character look like a female dresiarz or our russian equivalent - gopnik. Or maybe they did, and that's really a homo agenda - but still I'll bet on incompetent modelers.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
I don't have high hopes for the writing. Then again, that should be no surprise to no one after the last games BioWare has made in the last 8 years. It might probably beat the poor quality of Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3. That's no small feat. I wish they could release more videos focusing on the combat. Not just: Look! Press A for awesome shit! Give me and in-depth video that explains your systems. Show me the tactical camera more than 5 seconds. Despite being fairly underwhelmed with what I have seen, I might edn up getting this on sale. last BW game I bought was Mass Effect 2. Borrowed anything released after that from friends.

This confuses me. Morrigan seemed to be the canon love interest for DA:O, plus making the god baby was the only way to stay alive while remaining friends with Alistair, which was the obvious candidate for player bromance.

Your interpretation is completely wrong. There is no "canon," but it isn't a default choice because they correctly recognize that someone who never played Origins isn't going to give a shit about it.

Gaider said the decision isn't utterly game-changing but it's not just a few lines of dialogue either.

Also Morrigan could be killed in Witch Hunt and yet she shows up in the promotional materials:
The way they set that up made it bleedingly obvious it wasn't an actual death. A serial fiction standard: no body, no death.

I don't play MMOs and I feel like the WoW look is pretty rare in other genres. There was Dragon Age 2, Borderlands and... umm... any others?
:what:
DA2 and Borderlands aren't WoW except in the minds of anyone who gets mad at anything that isn't trying to be photorealistic.

Now KoA:Reckoning, that was pretty WoW-y.

If thats the canon choice then Cassandra searching for both Hawke and Warden is stupid. They could just ditch keep idea. I doubt anything meaningful will come out of it. I doubt Bioware will use these characters for anything, maybe they will be just mentioned.

I don't remember now if it was a book or a comic that adressed it. But yeah in the book/comic it was a Dalish Elf and Bioware confimred that this was a the canon ending. I don't know maybe there is a miscommunication between the staff inside Bioware, but there it is. It's the same like with ME books. Where they made Udina the canon choice for the council and in ME3 he was a councilor. Your choice didn't matter and there was a throwaway line to adress it.

So you can't claim there is no "canon" when Bioware states there is.

The fuck does that even mean?
I initially thought that they outsourced the writing to non-English speaking Koreans and processed the results through Google translate. As it happens, these are lyrics from radical feminist punk band Bikini Kill's magnum opus Rebel Girl:

http://rock.rapgenius.com/Bikini-kill-rebel-girl-lyrics

When she talks, I hear the revolution
In her hips, there's revolution
When she walks, the revolution's coming
In her kiss, I taste the revolution

Rebel girl, rebel girl
Rebel girl you are the queen of my world
Rebel girl, rebel girl
I know I wanna take you home
I wanna try on your clothes, uh

Bioware obviously has its finger on the cultural pulse of the average CRPG gamer.

You've officially gone off the deep end Roguey. KoA was the most WoW-y singe player game I had the misfortune to play, but Borderlands and by extension Borderlands 2 are extremely WoW-y. First of all, you have identical Character Progresssion systems - color'd loot and talent tree layout. Look at the camera. You have fetch quests galore and a cartoony exaggerated cheap aesthetic. You have hard-Classes. You have an aimless story. The only major difference is because BL/BL2 aren't massively multiplayer, they can affort real-time actiony combat. BL/BL2 are the second and third most WoW-y single player games ever made.

DA2/DAO is heavily WoW inspired, but it's much more subtle. Look at the currency system, the loot design, and the UI. For a game that was supposed to be inspired by BG, it plays nothing like it. The overhead "tactical" camera was just an afterthought in DA:O and it's not even present in DA2. Look at DA2's magic resistance system and how its stats work -- WoW. Look at DA2's class design -- rigidly WoW. The most notable differences between WoW and DA2 in terms of design is DA2's "combo abilities" (though maybe WoW eventually got these too, I didn't play WoW for that long) and the fact DA2 has less character progression options than WoW (the talent trees in WoW had a few small branches in each one, but in DA2 they are completely linear, your only choice is which talent tree you use).

I agree, Amalur has that over-the-top WoW style. Hard to argue with that.

Your ignore list.
At long last companies have come with effective anti piracy systems in their games, because I don't even feel like not physically removing DA:I from their inventory. :salute:
