Conservative gay movement. So only mass sex parties once per week.
Well the classical conservative gay is a married man who hooks up with guys whenever he can get away from the wife

Decided to watch mortismal's review of the game and yet again i see a stark contrast between the positive and negative reviews. The positive reviews are vague as fuck. They carefully downplay or don't even touch the negatives (mortismal for example just states that "ehh the art style is a little bit different compared to previous entries" while the ME team is already damage controlling Pixar comparisons and trying to distance away from their own peers). Their praise is shallow and never goes into specifics. It's almost like HR is in a room together with them too.

Decided to watch ShillUp's review of the game and yet again i see a stark contrast between the positive and negative reviews. The negative reviews are vain as fuck. They carefully downplay or don't even touch the positives (ShillUp for example just states that "ehh there is a really fun game at its core" while the ME team is just stating the obvious to soothe the Chuds). Their hatred is shallow and never goes into specifics. It's almost like Trump is in a room together with them too.

The strongest feeling I have watching extracts, videos, and reading reviews of this game is that the biggest issue is not the appeal and pandering to fringe minorities.
It's the fact that the game is a new avatar of the biggest shit the West is facing : we've become children, and mass appeal art must appeal to children.

There is nothing offensive.
Characters behave like in pixar cartoons.
Nothing offensive can happen.
Nothing thought provoking is possible.
Nothing dark, nothing disturbing.

And Dragon Age Veilguard is marketed toward "adults. "

The biggest issue we're facing is not gender politics. The big issue is that we're becoming children.

Grim dark in media was so early 2000s. Now it's reality. Everywhere. No wonder the entertainment industry is pivoting towards escapism again.

Everything in the game is offensive to a normal person.

You do not have to partake in that.
There are better games to try.

A professional game dev DESTROYING the atrocious writing in Failguard :

When the most scarily effective defence they can come up with for that boils down to "Why would you want to include mean and offensive things and options in X?", you know something is wrong with the society at large. This here is what it looks like when people use victimhood as means to quell honest debate, or honest dissection of cultural tropes offered by entertainment products. You simply can't have any of that if someone getting offended is to be avoided. You can't have a normal society that respects personal freedoms and the human spirit. Period. What you can have is a communist dystopia built upon lies.

'To be woke' means that your're either blind to these events that should tell you where western society is headed right now, or utterly complicit.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Swen, Eurogamer gave Baldur's Gate 3 an 8/10 and Bad Dragon Age 4 a 10/10 - what are you going to do and how will you hide the bodies?
Eurogamer hates me, putting pronouns in my game wasn't enough to satisfy their thrist for woke.

But like all of the legacy gaming media, they are on the way of the Dodo.
Who would have thought it will come a day when BG3 will be considered not woke enough.:smug:
