From the gg subreddit

The IGN Portugal one, in Portuguese, doesn't even make sense grammatically, not to mention it has other errors:

"Dragon Age: The Veilguard é um regresso à forma do BioWare"

In Portugal, we do not say forma in this sense, fórmula, sure, not forma. Funny that it also uses the male "do" for Bioware, a company, when we usually use the genderless "de".

I do wonder if they gave these reviewers a template to copy from and they just badly translated them.

West is so retarded and gay, I swear. Either Civil War starts and West HEALS itself, or outside threat like Mongol Horde will put this pathetic entity out of misery. Every time I walk out I kiss the ground thanking God that I STILL don't live in country where people like Veilguard developers and fans rule

Wirdschowerdn likes are Darkspawn. Chuds are dwarven Legion of Dead fighting against them in dark tunells and mines of forums and comment sections. We need Gray Wardens*

Back on topic: Those Veilguard videos are lmao-tier. I can't believe that the primary warrior mechanic is shield throwing. What estrogen-and-dutasteride-addled genius came up with that idea, and have they ever held a shield? Do they understand that shields are not boomerangs? I get that the devs wanted to prioritize ranged combat, but in that case why not nudge warriors in the direction of carrying a bow or crossbow? Or fuck it, just give them a gooddamn boomerang, like the Legend of Zelda did ~40 years ago. Surely they could even come up with a compelling lore reason for it.

Might as well throw some shields if you can run and pounce in heavy plate like a hero from fightin' animes. The realism is already beyond broken.

"YOU'RE BREAKING THE NDA!"
What a colossal faggot lmao, imagine defending a corp

JFC lmao, they literally started messaging Bioware to snitch on the guy

>calling some random mook "a grifter" while reviewers are copying each other's articles word-for-word

Cannot make clown world up

Look at how the NDA-violation isn't even the main point the creature is making. It's that the violator used content from a RIGHT-WING GRIFTER.

Now I see what Skillup meant by dialogue feeling like HR was always in the room. Can’t even kiss a bitch without asking for consent five times in the most spineless way possible.

In Origins you could literally tell Morrigan to "Get in the tent, woman" so you can shag her. I remember this from a playthrough that wasn't even that long ago. It was all tongue-in-cheek and Morrigan, true to her nature, responds to displays of strength positively.

Now however, can you imagine trying to include something like that in Veilguard when the HR is always listening?

The backlash against this game is huge, even with normies.

I used one of my Alt Facebook accounts to post this in a JRPG shitposting group, and went to bed expecting it to get a handful of reactions and comments. Woke up and it's at nearly 3k reactions with mods turning the commenting off because there were so many backlashing against the game so quickly.

And those dislikes for the IGN review keep growing and growing...

Good work. Assuming that picture is 100% unaltered, it seems like the intent is to give you the impression that affirming a trans-identity will unlock more game content. Sort of like when you choose the "good" path. It only mentions new dialogue, but the hint is there.

Subtle.

I love watching big games fail, this warms my heart.
I just realized bioware has the same trajectory as Cory Feldman's movie career. it starts off really strong, but eventually ends in a series of career killing flops, which lead to a drug overdose

He came out with some other former child actors who claimed they were molested by some Hollywood producers. There were some big names involved.

apparently this was an actual quote from the IGN review:

“And while we've been asked by the devs not to spoil specifically who I'm talking about here, as a non-binary person myself, Veilguard includes some of the most authentic representation of coming to terms with gender stuff – and having to navigate your family's reaction to it – I've seen yet in a game. It doesn't feel like an after school special or like I'm being pandered to. It's quite well-handled, and finding out that the writer for this character is non-binary themselves did not surprise me at all.”

The Veilguard rabbit hole is going to sustain youtubers for years after launch.

It's true though, it was always shit. The only thing that has changed is "the norms", DA (and Bioware) was always at the forefront of libtardology.
BioWare was always politically correct but DA:O wasn’t woke and pozzed. Groomers criticize it for being sexist and misogynist. Care to provide examples of “degeneracy and woke shit” in DA:O.
Origins gave you a party in which every member was white besides Sten (vaguely brown qunari), Shale (a magically animated artifact) and the dog (a dog) and only ever showed People of Gender in order to mock cross-dressers. It was hardly the peak of social conservatism but anybody claiming that it was always "woke" in the way that those steam users are complaining about has incurred severe brain damage or is being disingenuous. In the case of Jim Sterling it's clearly both.
DA:O takes place in Ferelden(medieval not-England) and has Leliana and Marjolaine from Orlais(medieval not-France), so almost all are white as it should be. Zevran and Isabela are exotic and their backstories explain how they appeared in Ferelden. DA:O doesn't have random blacks and Asians in a small village. Dyke dwarf Branka is one of the worst villains of the game. The Chantry is portrayed neutrally. The game isn't woke at all since it was released in 2009 but sadly it's one of the last non-woke/non-PC games.
Origins came out 15 years ago, grandpa.
In 2008 Stalker Clear Sky had the word "faggots" used in a dialogue.

The more I see, the more I realize I'm just going to ignore the AAA gayming sphere and stick to the few good games that exist which were released more than two decades ago.

I'm getting the feeling that where ever I look, the troons and their pets outnumber the based by at least 10:1. I thought the pendulum was supposed to be swinging back. There's not a single place outside Codex where you could be safe from their insipid bullshit. They can't be that numerous.

Could this indeed be some kind of media manipulation via bot armies and paid shills, or just a bunch of permanently online social warriors coordinating their attacks?

Swedish game journalist page gave this shit a 2/5.

"2 Tveksamt Inte riktigt godkänt, endast anhängare eller okritiskt lagda bör överväga köp."
=
" 2 Doubtful. Not quite approved, only fans or persons who are uncriticall should consider buying"

https://www.fz.se/recension/298906-dragon-age-the-veilguard

Mainly citing bad and boring as shit game mechanics.

+ Nice Environments
+ Okay reactive script.

- Very repetitive and simple combat.
- Shaky dialogs and narrative overall.
- Big fps drops in certain regions.
- Have I waited ten years for this?
Finns hopp än för våra speljournalister, åtminstone.
Ja verkar som det, brukar inte följa fz så blev positivt överraskad.

Just look at the Youtube dislike ratio. We outnumber them 1000:1. Elections are all rigged.

It's going to sell like hotcakes, and be about as good as shit cakes.

The last one sold well and was utter drivel. This one will sell well at least initially, and bioware will take a victory lap and then AAA "rpgs" will further devolve into propaganda identity politics because "it just works"

Pederasty in Hollywood?! That seems unlikely.

All social media is filled with bots. Go look at any demonrat Twitter post praising Kamala/calling Trump Hitler and you have a wall of very obvious bot accounts with a thousand blue emojis in their names just saying the same thing as everyone else worded slightly differently.

Just a coincidence that half the reviews are saying the exact same thing as the "creative director", I'm sure.
