It's slowing down at last
Yeah it's going to peter out. Ain't no way it's getting any higher. I think this is the highest it can get, in my opinion so far.

Very interesting taking a glance at the enforced positivity Dragon Age reaction reddit thread. A number of trans people are kinda pissed the Bioware cut the titty sizes down to basically nonexistent, and it's making them feel excluded. The word "offended" is being brought up.

That's a twist I didn't see coming.

58k and climbing. Next stop 60.
All I want to say that Baldur's Gate 3 on realise reached over 850 k.
You can't really compare them, BG3 was a phenomenon of a sort that rarely happens.
No, no. Not me.
I'm talking about those people who claims Veilguard for game awards and compare it to BG3.
Veilguard doesn't even have a chance for Best RPG at the game awards, let alone GOTY.

Lol this is going to win every industry award that exists. They'll fucking make up awards just so Purpleguard can win them.

Are you being serious? You can see how the industry is treating this thing. They NEED a win for 2024.
Typically at the Game Awards, they stick pretty close to which games review the highest. And right now, Yakuza 8, FF7 Rebirth, and Refantazio are all well ahead of it in that regard.

I think BLACK OPS 6 might actually be the AAA critical darling this year. It's also been hailed as a "return to form" of sorts.

These numbers are actually worse than i thought. I predicted it to hit around 100k shortly after launch at least because Bioware fanbase are shit eaters and the game had an extensive media coverage.

People getting offended by a streamer giving mild criticisms of the game already (he wasn't even that harsh compared to the rest of the internet.) How fragile are these rainbowhairs?
They aren't necessarily being fragile. They might be another activists who wage a war against "chuds" and so they lash out at any negative stuff being said about the subj (and vice versa).

Look at that cocksuck trying to use lvl. 1 emotional blackmail on the guy.

An anti-RPG of the year. This game's had a troubled development and was built around the bones of an MMO (again, thanks to EA), but still I wonder how much of their fixation on a niceguy hero Rook is the result of injecting so much of themselves and their politics into the game.

An RPG should let you take the heel's path, maybe not in the main quest, but at least in those smaller interactions and side-quests. Those sort of flavor things that were perfectly possible to implement despite the game's rigid frame. They have the perfect excuse for erasing blood magic as an option, just like they have for giving Rook the personality of an NPC. "It's because of our sensible scope and time-restraints!"

But is it the real reason? Maybe their propaganda-vehicle could suffer no dissent in the form of roleplaying options so they nixed it all, all of the friction. Goodbye penis, goodbye dickish Rook. Now all the kids can come to the RIGHT conclusion about these topics oh so close to their hearts, aided by their hero NPC.

so they lash out at any negative stuff being said about the subj
How is that not being fragile?
Haven't you met any online culture warriors? These may not care about the game itself, not even having it but they feel the need of engaging because of their ideology and too much free time on their hands. The motivation is different in those cases, that's all I'm pointing out.

These are the same types who call critics "tourists", no doubt. According to them a real fan eats the shit and asks for seconds instead of asking problematic questions.

I would assume it's a mix of internal politics, bribes, and virtue signaling. Like EVERY single award show on the planet.

But what do I know, I don't fucking pay attention to something as pointless as the Game Awards.
