I dunno why they don't just turn woman characters into basically hard mode where you have weak physical stats compared to male heroes and then all the biggest nerds will be playing women because they must play on hard mode and girls will be represented more in videogames. Everyone wins.
I saw female who played BG3 with single character (probably on tactician or something like that), she put healing potion on the ground, stand on anvil to bait the golem, and then when they were smashed, it killed golem, and because her character got bathed in broken healing potion, it would did that heal needed to move from DnD 5E dying state into conscious fully healthy state.

So yea, some are playing hard mode only.
I once saw a girl with two heads so yeah, not all women have only one head. Food for thought.

I'm 10 hours in, and overall, it’s not bad. The combat is more fun than I expected, and the environments are varied and looks good to look at. The weakest point is the writing, especially the cringe-worthy flirting options. The dialogue doesn’t feel like grown men and women talking, it’s more like teenagers in a generic anime.

Also I’ve realized that most reviewers don’t know how to play for shit. The idea that enemies are sponges isn’t accurate. The tutorial clearly shows you should use the Primer + Detonation combo, then fill up the stagger meter to deal high damage and charge your ultimate, which does ridiculous damage, I haven't met spongey bosses and I even took down level 25 boss while I was lv10.

DA:O is unintentionally based, anti-woke, because it's literally the best representation of what homosexuality really is in all of video games.

Portrays depravity and hedonism with the consequences of such a lifestyle. There's no lecturing about gays or forcing you into anything. But it's also not just a gay person for *muh representation*, i.e. trying to normalize it. It's a comment on how society & actions shape a persons mind.

The only other place you see anything that can relate to homosexuality is in the brothel where you can choose gay prostitutes if you want & "get surprised" by a Dwarven crossdresser. Again, a great representation of the depravity and inevitable decline of the inner core of a large city (in this case Denerim) when people who push this stuff aren't strictly controlled.

:smug:
Name checks out.

In my defense I'm currently depressed and I thought clapping some dwarven cheeks might help.

this is what storyfaggotry does to you.
Maybe it's changed since launch but it seemed like most of the storyfags on reddit were on suicide watch over how bad the story is, and since the combat is apparently also bad-to-mediocre depending on who you ask I'm not sure what kind of -fag it was intended for (do hair physics fags exist?)

Shampoofag. The hair on these characters bounces like they're from shampoo commercials. That's the only thing that bounces on them.

Except all the blood that manages to.

Foreskinwalker added me into his list out of ressentment, even though I haven't even installed the game, nor do I plan to.

I wouldn't be surprised if Foreskinwalker happened to be a player of Drag-on Age Veilguard, himself.

What did you do to deserve this? I wouldn't slander even my worst enemies in such way.

I think the solution is to remove the foreskin.

The qunari have come a long way.

Being a woman warrior (much less adventurer) in any medieval fantasy setting is fraught with realism issues.

"Right side of history" people knowing nothing about history or the reality they live in.

I remember when Bioware retconned this into some trans allegory.

THAT IS NOT WHAT STEN WAS SAYING. Anyone with half a brain would be able to see that.

Imagine creating a society with a real "stay in the kitchen" mentality and then retconning it into "we love troons".

Fucking hell.

Fucking hell.

Cisquisition tried to mental gymnastic their way out of this by saying "if a person assigned male/female at birth shows signs of being trans, then xe/xem/xir will be treated by the Qunari society as the gender they identify as regardless of biology." Which is already retarded, because an embattled ultra-utilitarian militaristic society will have precisely zero use for a female in the military, and also you don't get to identify as anything in the Qun, you are told who you are going to be by your Bene Gesserit Ben-Hassrath brainwashers. Which would mean that all the Qunari trannies got ordered to do a sex change without having any say in this because their handlers decided they're better suited for a job that is the opposite of their biology.

Of course, this doesn't change the fact that the Qunari are strictly gender-binary, and their society has zero room for nonbies anyway. The military is 100% male, the scholars/bureaucrats are 100% female, and one half of their "priesthood" is 100% male and the other half 100% female. This was acktshually rather "progressive" back in the day, btw. Realistically, all of the above would be 100% male, and the women would just have the roles of broodmothers, nurses and free-use whores.

Nonbies just don't fit into this, even if you allowed for trans-qunaris. But the wokinistas don't care, for them everything is a woke self-insert/propaganda piece.

That spike in the middle happened the next day after I posted this here last time. Let's see what happens now.

That's super cringe.

But I started watching this old thing and it made me think more positively about the first Dragon Age. It's shocking how much of a difference there was in the company culture, even in marketing ethos.

At the very least, there was a lot of passion for the game.

Don't know if there's a higher resolution link or whatever.

Almost makes me want to replay Origins. Almost.
