I thought these two we save in first few minutes enslaved elves and made them do it. And other people said it's just elf bullshit, and these two doesn't exist.

C'mon. They let people from cellphone culture to do writing, but they probably didn't rewrite whole Dragon Age trilogy.

People who say you can ignore parts of the game with troon propaganda are a little disingenuous.

This is nothing new, if you consider that all Bioware videogames punish you if you're not Lawful Good 100% of the times, with Mass Effect reaching cartoony heights with it actually locking the good ending in 3 behind a 100% paragon playthrough across all games. If you do as much as choosing ONE (1) renegade prompt or dialogue option you effectively cuck yourself out of it. And let's not even mention Baldur's Gate. This is how Bioware does story writing: you're forced into their rollercoaster ride and the ride never ends.
At least in this example I end up with a paladin, not a rotting man pussy.

"Though he played sadistic tricks on human serving girls, he preyed upon elves specifically, seeing them as "rats" and vermin, and delighting in the long-ago destruction of their empire. Other members of the Kendells household attempted to protect the arl's elven servants, but sometimes to little avail."

Gigachad Arl of Denerim, the world wasn't ready to accept what he intuitively knew to be true: that the subjugation and torment of elves is not only a divine right, but a moral imperative.

This is straight up propaganda.

What?

The aim of propaganda is to convince, you know. This is, at best, a dog marking its territory. At worst, blatant self-insert fetishism.

I mean, you seriously expect someone to read through these ramblings and suddenly starting to champion troon "rights" or whatever?

I think Dalrymple said it best:

In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.

Well, that's where they got a bit ahead of themselves, then.

You guys should all thank me, because of me redditors and other vermin have higher expectations for crpg's. The success of BG3 is literally one of the biggest reasons this failed even harder than originally thought.

I deserve a special tag here Infinitron "Bioware killer"
2023: Baldur's Gate 3 forever identifies that series with bear-buggery

2024: Bioware's latest game fails due to the higher expectations generated by BG3

TFW you realize both statements are accurate.

To be honest the bear fucking trailer was a huge marketing win. It caught a ton of attention from people who would never otherwise look at an isometric rpg.

Seeing a lot of dudes create women characters. Do guys normally do this in RPGs and romance the men?
Noooo don't start it! It's even worse than the 'what is an rpg' discussion!
I stepped in the shit and didn't realize it. My bad.

I just don't understand the logic. You either romance dudes (you're a faggot) or you romance other women (you approve faggotry). It's a lose lose choice IMO.
To sum it up:
  • You're gay if you make a girl character because you're being a girl which is a gay act
  • You're gay if you make a boy character because you have to look at a male character model and looking at boys is gay
So you're gay no matter what you do depending on who you ask. Only way to win is to not make a character at all.

I don't know about romance, to me that is the gayest thing of all to do in a video game no matter which character you make.
If you play a female and romance a male you're the gayest faggot in the universe and that is a FACT.
Yes but that's not a large leap. I made this helpful diagram to illustrate

gayornot.png
Do you guys know only how to self insert? Isn't the whole point of crpgs to try playing different characters that aren't you? What does the "role-playing" in crpgs even stands for? Role playing as yourself?
Seeing lesbos fuck is more straight than seeing straight couple fuck?
I can't believe I'm reading this.
With this logic you aren't actually gay for playing as a woman, no, you are trans. It's over for you ass and boobs loving chads, rpg codex diagnosed you as gay and trans.
The only thing left for you now is to validate the tranny suicide statistics by ending it all.

When you realize elves literally aren't even "real people" because they've retconned it.

I'm getting articles recommend to me every day about this shit of a game. They are trying so hard to keep it relevant. I was laughing at them at first but now I'm genuinely feeling sorry for them.

It would be unironically brave and daring writing if they simple followed a logical progression:

1. You find out that elves have been responsible for basically all evil in the history of the world.
2. You find out they're not even real in the sense that humans, dwarves and qunari are.

How much do you have to fail mentally to create a metaphor for race relations and than to have the most justifiable race war imaginable? It's mind boggling.

At the end of the day, bear-buggery was hilarious. Like Kyle and Brenda in JA2.

Those troon sermons are just... sad. Not even cringeworthy.
