It's hitlerious how this game has a literal spirit world that tons of people can visit (sometimes physically), and yet the existence of an afterlife is still never confirmed and made less and less plausible with each entry.
Any time they want to do "here's a ghost of this person who died" they explain it away as a "spirit" that came to impersonate that person, and not their actual soul. The spirit Popess in Cisquisition was a spirit who for no reason whatsoever assumed the exact personality and appearance of the dead Popess, Cole is a spirit who assumed the likeness of the real Cole who died long ago in a templar prison, now Turdguard has an illusory Varrick.
They want to have their ghosts and eat their atheism too. Exact same bullshit as AI replacements of dead people in sci fi settins. Worst of both worlds. Can't let people who passed away rest in peace, and can't let them be real after death either. I hate these woke turds so much. Would it kill you to just say "yes, people who die have souls that survive the death of the body, and sometimes their souls stay behind in the spirit world until they fulfill their purpose"? No, coz you gotta make sure everything is kosher with atheistards and materialfags.
At least they didn't go with "the Maker is just Elgarnan and now you must kill him". I think.
