Perfectly timed Comestion as the Gryphin tries to lunge at you is quite satisfying. It's actually a pretty cool sequence, you can jump the rails so to speak to go around the gates for example, and some other neat possibilities. Generally speaking though I hate the fucking griffin because it employs the most annoying boss fight mechanic ever - frequently moving so far away it's out of range of all possible attacks and is essentially invincible until it deigns to return to you. Who enjoys that shit?
Perfectly timed comestion doing nothing as it lunges at someone else and then flies away again instantly, quite infuriating.Perfectly timed Comestion as the Gryphin tries to lunge at you is quite satisfying. It's actually a pretty cool sequence, you can jump the rails so to speak to go around the gates for example, and some other neat possibilities. What? Fire magic staggers and makes the griffin fall down pretty easily.Perfectly timed comestion doing nothing as it lunges at someone else and then flies away again instantly, quite infuriating.Perfectly timed Comestion as the Gryphin tries to lunge at you is quite satisfying. It's actually a pretty cool sequence, you can jump the rails so to speak to go around the gates for example, and some other neat possibilities. Before I started playing, I read that ←left reinforces Utilitarian, which to me seems by far the best Inclination. Whenever my pawns are being unhelpful I hit ← and sure enough my main pawn became Utilitarian.I am so wary of Guardian that I don't use commands. At all. Ever.
Warrior can stunlock the Griffon until they run out of stamina. Just use any of his Arc abilities on the head to keep the griffin stuck on the ground. It's actually a pretty cool sequence, you can jump the rails so to speak to go around the gates for example, and some other neat possibilities. Deadly Gouge is heavenly with all the climbing augments. While I personally prefer daggers for gale harness and the dodge-roll even just using dire gouge with a decent sword is just too good to pass up, and wearing the assassins band just puts it into 'overpowered' territory.Man, the BBI secret augments for opportunism (+20% strength when you're grappling) and grapple-stability make the stupid rooms with multiple dire dragons doable. You can drop all your old dragon fighting technique and just bum-rush them, grapple somewhere on the trunk, slide over the heart and thousand kiss them to death in like 7-8 seconds with one of the better daggers (and probably do even better with gouge). Wyverns with the hearts on their back are just pathetic - they try to fly to get you off but get stunned back down before they get 10 feet off the ground. Only classic drakes with their fly-up belly drop move have something they can possibly "roll" as a counter.
I've been using nothing but dagger + bow on my assassin so far, just beat Grigori. Should I bother looking into sword + shield?
How? Is there a quicker way than going into the Equipment screen? You can also swap weapons pretty easily during combat
Yeah, I know. Still a very weird design decision.
