Speaking of DD's development, the success of the PC version will influence whether or not they'll be making a sequel.

Speaking to PC Gamer, producer Minae Matsukawa stated that Dragon's Dogma 2 could still happen. "The Dragon’s Dogma development team members often talk about the possibility of a sequel," said Matsukawa. She added that a continuation really depends on fan feedback for the upcoming PC port of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, as that "will increase the chances that we can look into the possibility of continuing the series."

Owners: 243,444 ± 11,278
Players in the last 2 weeks: 165,816 ± 9,309 (68.11%)
Players total: 227,809 ± 10,910 (93.58%)
Peak concurrent players yesterday: 8,198

So after less than a month for 4 years old game at this point +- 250k copies. Not that much but DD will have loooong legs.

Men,

I defeated Daimon's first form last night, me and 2 pawns just face hugged him to death.

It's trivially easy to find a sword, greatsword, hammer or set of daggers appropriate to your level, and there's some fairly obvious spots to find extra nice ones as well (like the sword in the stone.)

What's this? Do you mean that one by the golem on the southwest coast?

All right man, I'm taking some Codexer pawns out. One of you level 150 bastards should take mine out for farming so I can get some dank rift crystals.

They're 50-100 levels above me so it's gonna be pretty boring, but then again, the most challenging fight I've had the entire game was my first encounter with Saurians in Cassardis. I used Burst Strike too much and aroused the whole roomful, and completely forgot I was supposed to slash off tails. I died three times until it dawned on me not to rush and to go for the tails. I don't think I've died in combat since, only from falling off cliffs occasionally.

Kind of surprised about the sales, I mean 250k is nothing to scoff about and close to 5 millon dolars but I guess the game would have to sell close to q milion to be greenlighted for a sequel

And yet they made Dragon's Dogma Online with all features of DD combat and it's systems (along with your own pawn lel) in MMO.
Aside from that Original release of DD didn't really have any marketing behind it.

Imo they simply thought that they will have next WOW by doing DD ONLINE with it's awesome combat model thus they didn't care about single player and created mmo.

Is this game more fun than Twitcher 3? I've been enjoying Twitcher as an equestrian simulator, but the combat/loot whoring leaves a lot to be desired, and I can see myself getting burnt out before long.

It is complete oposite of TW3.

Amazing combat but mediacore story/quests/characters.
Though not level scaled open world is good imo.

Every time I think level scaling is not thaaat bad I play a game like DD were you really can see how your character starts off having 15 minutes battles with a cyclops and coupke of levels later you can kill them in less than 3 and the simply awesome way you can feel the growth and power of your main char and pawn and it makes so much fun... Then you play some mad max which is fun but feels like the upgrades just allow to take on bigger enemies or tougher cars but other than that you dont feel that growth at all...
Been itching to try Requiem for Skyrim to get that morrowind feeling and just might do that next aftet DD

So does queen clothing set blow out the competition early on? Basically all my pawns wear that because they have the best stats everytime.

It blows other sets out of the competition to get me to grab your pawn and throw it off a bridge

Early armor doesn't really matter enough to bother.

You could have switchd it out much earlier, but its a hassle to compare cause it's a full set and when you hover over another armor piece as a replacement it will always look like a huge downgrade.

I'm still mad that you can get an extremely strong greatsword at the beginning of the game (it out-damages anything I can buy from Caxton even after giving him the Gold Idol, for example), but only shit-tier bows until well past mid-game, unless you get lucky; you can get a Hunter's Bow from the Tumblr bandits fort as I've since discovered. Pretty sure you're fucked on longbows, though.

I accidently finished the game. Can I just start over and go directly to BBI - as soon as the game allows - and ignore the story this time around?

Yes.

*** enhanced rusted bow/longbow procs torpor and the damage isn't so much worse than the other crappy bows you can get before postgame/BBI, so if you just want to minor in bows that's what I did with my 'sassin.

I discarded all that crap items like eternal ferrystone, those weapons and armors etc.

all of them (aside from eternal ferrystone) you can get in game i think.
