Man, don't do those badge quests. BBI has tons of chests that give you 2000-5000 rift crystals. I'm guessing they only put that in so people that didn't have the expansion and also had to play offline could afford the pawn facelift thing. You're on PC, just cheat if you want RC.

I think all the open world stuff was completely botched, and the fact that BBI looks like it had a rock bottom budget (they reuse level geometry and reskin enemies like they were trying to pay off a loanshark) yet is ten times more compelling shows they just had no capacity to make an open world game. Eternal ferrystone + lots of portable teleport crystals is just an acknowledgement that they made shit no sane person wouldn't want to skip 90% of.

I personaly dont feel cheating at all using the eternal ferrystone, since you have to set up the crystals to new places you have to discover them in the first place and even if you set them up in startegic places tou still have to trek a bit to get there
Btw what the fuck is it complicated to get a decent support mage, I mean I want high affinity, combustion, andoyne and maybe a decent combat spell or two an it is fucking hard
I have kept a level 37 mage (currently level 53) just because I cant find any decent mages ffs

Mozg If you do do all 100 badge quests, you'll get 210,000 RC and 100,000 XP essentially for free very soon upon starting NG+. That's hard to ignore unless your pawn is a Mage or (secondarily) Sorcerer, looks like a porn star, has amazing stats, proper affinity and desirable skills, and gets pimped rented out constantly.

I didn't really find that the main open world was horribly botched. It's pretty great the first time through, leaping across roofs and digging through bags for stuff, exploring new and unknown areas, keeping an eye out for chests hidden beneath cliffs, etc.

Still, there was a lot they could have done far better. Enemy variety is one of those things. The vast majority of non-boss enemies are wolves, goblins, harpies, and bandits, with a side dish of saurians, skeletons, zombies, and phantoms.

Uh, just summon a bunch of mages and there will be one in between, just look if ithas the spells you want and check if under profile it had Ultarian as main inclination andere either challenger or migitator as secondary.

Hou could use my pawn, but she is level 70 or something, plus she doesnt use weapon enchants at the moment.

Yup I finally found a level 49 mage with holy weapons, high ingis, hi andoyne, spellshield and even a decent high ice spell plus she looks like an egyptian priestess....very nice, no combustion but I can manage that and crowd control while she buffs ny chars, heals and can cast high ingis
Getting close to the end of the main quest and kind of sad about it, while I still have most of BBI I have to say I an enjoying the game so much I might start a new replay with a fighter and mage pawn almost right away

Nah, just go tool around in BBI if you want rift crystals. I've had some lengthy pawn rents, but not a lot with my elf strider/ranger. I'm sitting at like 1.3 million rift crystals and have already purified most of what I want, have the pawn/arisen reconstruction thing, etc. I mean, do the quests if you like the treasure hunting aspects, but if they're just a pain, why bother?

Seriously, you can easily pick up 200k rift crystals in a tiny fraction of the time it takes to do all the badge quests by doing stuff in BBI. Since you're never going to beat the game the 20 times it'd take to make up the difference, it's not worth it unless you like searching for them.

Favorite thing: mystic knight, blessed riposte, great cannon. Set up a cannon, then attract an eliminator. Perfect block riposte the eliminator's attack. Approximately ten thousand shots are then fired out of the great cannon in the next second by the blessed riposte. It's useless against Daimon or most other things because only a certain number of great cannon shots can exist at the same time, and from outside point blank range the new cannon shots being created make the ones that are further than like one video game meter away vanish.

Magick Archer's bracer arrow is pretty sweet; cures and prevents a lot of nasty debilitations like petrification.

Killed second boss in BBI, but now I hit a wall.

Jesus Christ. Enter a new room, and there is DEATH, can't kill him. Leave and come back and he is gone, all is well, then the room with 2 Gorecyclops, looks like fun, bam, 3 Garms spawn, and 2 pawns insist on attacking the chained up Gorecyclops instead of the doggies, so leave again.

Got a hired Strider pawn now, first time, and it's amazing. The slow it inflicts on things, man I have been missing out this whole time.

if you haven't made it past yet, there's a ledge that allows you to over look the area, the 'Condemned' gorecyclopes can't reach you there if you'd just like ot pick them off with magic and arrows. Ice is very effective.
If the garms spawn, have them follow you to another room so you can focus on killing all 3 of them rather than spreading your attention between them, the pawns, and the condemned cyclopes.

Rentals of my pawn started again in earnest after I swapped her back to Strider from time spent as Warrior and Fighter. Weren't Codex bros either, at least I don't think so, only have four on my friends list and I know who they all are. A good Scather Strider with Arm-Strength is great at scrambling up enemies and stabbing the bejeezus out of their faces.

mediocrepoet I think I've gotten... 26,000 RC from your two rentals? Might be more. How many did you get from my rental? Unfortunately I mainly completed a bunch of quests and was still pre-Dragon at the time, but still curious.

Eh, like 50k. It was actually one rental (had to renew it) because a gorecyclops or something smashed her off a cliff at one point and I wasn't around any riftstones. Also, if you need other dragon's tears let me know. I have tons of all of them, just figured you prob didn't have a wyrm's tear. Or if there are other mats you're looking for.

At the moment I'm just smashing shit in Everfall and grabbing all the loot, and somewhat regretting my decision to Dragonforge Dragonflight (the axe-looking greatsword that deals 3x damage to dragonkin) along with a Gryphic set, because now I have the Dragon weapon that can only be used by the fattest, slowest class in the game. Still, Dragonflight came in awfully handy against the Dragon, and should be good against drakes and wyverns and such, which is why I chose it for Dragonforging.

The Archydra is the first fight I've felt I needed to run from, mainly because doing that fight with Warrior is pure misery. Your opportunities to strike heads properly are few and climbing (which takes forever, since Warrior stops every 2 feet to consume hamburgers) only allows shitty bonking with the pommel. I need some Gouge action and climbing augments, but I'll have to do it with a shittier sword than Dragon's Dogma.

Warrior's such a weird class. It has some of the crappy parts of sorceror (because of the long charge times on most things) but at least they can take a hit. It's awesome actually getting arc of deliverance off though.

Any chance you want this thing: http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Angel's_Fist or are you done with warrior now? I tend not to send loot gifts for fear of breaking someone's game, so I just vendor stuff but I'm sitting on like 18 million gold and nothing to buy but consumables or the occasional upgrade fees.

Send whatever you like, although realistically I doubt I'll use it that much. After the Dragon you're already in "funny money" land anyway, what with rings and unneeded weapons that sell for 30,000-100,000g (with 4x Suasion) popping out of random crates and shit.
