Not only performance issues, it's filled to the brim with microtransactions. Refunded.

I haven't heard anything about that. Mind expanding on the topic?
They are listed in the store page.

Looks like I'll be waiting for some performance patches but likely to buy at full price. Not happy with some decisions made but it looks overall like what I wanted it to be.
My sage wisdom from yesterday. Now I can watch a few streams/vids and see if its still worth it at full price or waiting for a sale. Patience pays off sometimes.
CDKeys ftw, I got it at 30% off

You can't refund that though, right? I think it's best to try on Steam, refund and then buy a key if you're going that route. Especially with their insane microtransactions.

Apparently editing your character's appearance even costs money.

Alright couple of things before I try to go to sleep again, no thanks to my asshole cunt neighbour who keeps talking on the phone loudly right next to my bedroom at 2AM

- you cannot delete your savegame (and thus recreate your character/pawn) unless you turn off cloud saves and manually delete the files from your system (there's a guide on Reddit)
- seeing multiple reports of character creation saves getting lost/deleted/corrupted, back up your creations
- person on Discord with a 7800X3D + 4090 was saying that DLSS implementation is very bad, graphical glitches and stuff, and that he tried FSR and it was better somehow
- Capcom is charging $2 for the ability to change your character/pawn in-game but apparently you can also do it using 500 Rift Crystals, no idea how easy it is to obtain that without paying though
- there's Audio glitches in cutscenes apparently

You could buy that shit with the original release too, just fyi. It was all over the PSN store back in the day. Crystals anyway, the rest of that stuff could be bought with RC, not so sure you could buy it directly with cash.

Anyway, you doomposters who think this thing looks the same as DD1 either have glaucoma, agendas, or toasters.

Game runs well and looks great. Y'all retarded.

Did you ever get around to the content? How is the game itself?
Very easy at the start at least. The content lacks a lot of polish for what you'd expect in a AAA game.

I did *like* it in spite of that, but I would pay money to support a game that I like, not to support Capcom's microtransaction addiction, or the paycheck of whatever braindead corpo came up with this.

I like the pawn system over all, even if it essentially trivializes combat. Having pawns chat with you using random dialog options based on personality type is better than having a faggot NPC who'll hit on you 24/7 like in BG3.

There are quite a few cool ideas, and I find it easier to get into that the original, but it's still very console-like. It feels like a game from 10 years ago in terms of user experience/interface, and a game from 5 years ago in terms of graphics.

The story is very bland and generic. My pawn held more significance than any NPC, including the love interest girl whose life I apparently saved.

I still would have kept it had it not been for the microtransactions. That was the bridge too far for me. But it's by no means some perfect or enthralling game.

Not sure what the butthurt is about the RC store, assuming you can still earn it in game from the pawn system.
This is the same argument for f2p gacha and the like. Yes, there's always some free currency to whet your appetite. But microtransactions wouldn't be there if the game didn't make you want to use them eventually.

The difference is that this isn't a f2p game. This isn't a gacha. This is paying $70+ up-front and STILL having to deal with microtransactions.

You do realize that this shit was all in the store in the original DD1 release, right? I said that above, but you seem to be ignoring it to suit yourself. It's the same shit as original release. Here's a thought: do not buy it. I never did.

I mean, many MMOs offer paid max level ups for people who are retarded and have more money/credit than sense. The intended experience is not for you to buy them, but you can.

So with my very mid-range system (3060 and an i5-11k) @1080p middling settings it's 60-80fps open world, and ~40fps in Vermund. Not great but I was expecting a lot worse.
