I haven't fought any of the tanks yet so I can't comment on them

The big hammer guys are hit-dodge-repeat-until-dead. Big spitters you bum rush, cos they don't really do anything when you're up close.

Haven't fought the bodybuilder zombie yet, so maybe he offers some challenge.

Looking at comparisons, Dying Light 1 had better artistic consistency and setting. The atmosphere was also more immersive, darker at night and scarier. The big important stuff like animations seems better in DL1.

Zombie movies and games always fall apart when you try to think a bit more at it, like for example, why everyone is sticking to the city when the obvious move would be to move to the rural areas? Nowdays in many areas only 2% of the population live on rural areas. You know, zombies dont seem intelligent and as humans concentrate on the cities, the place with the highest concentration of zombies would be the cities, it isnt that they are intelligent enough to follow humans around.

That is why everyone is an asshole on those types of story, to generate drama because the whole staying on a city filled with zombies is just retardation, in reality, because of the extremely low population density and economic output, the gains from violence are minimal while the gains for cooperation are huge. They need to be careful with the assholery though, because if everyone is an asshole, you lose interest in helping them very fast.

In Walking Dead they left Atlanta pretty fast and moved to rural areas. Didn't help them much, zombies moved where the meat is.

Most(read:99.98%) would be dead within a year from lack of food.
Zombo reproduction is a really poor one btw because it specifically selects the weakest

The game isn't that expensive, yet it looks like AAA product, so obviously people will buy it after some paid hype on youtube. It will probably not dissapoint them, as it will be a solid, mediocre game. You can't really have strong feeling about lukewarm water.

Zombie apocalypse movie in a rural area: Jimmy Bob Joe shoots the one zombie that somehow gets into the small town of 2000 people with his shotgun at the start.
Then the rest of the movie is just scenes of regular life going on as usual.

tbh I found it hilarious that works like walking dead had to alter how people become zombies just to account for how many guns america has

I find it funny that in every US zombie movie the most powerful and well-funded army in the world is overwhelmed in an instant and it falls to a bunch of random nobodies with some pistols and shotguns to stop the zombies. Which they do without much of a problem, making you think why the army failed.

The myth of citizen militia still seems to live in these shows.

The original Dawn of the Dead had societal collapse before the zombie virus popped up with large cities basically completly overrun with gangs who were waging wars with the police/reserves as cities burned. If such a virus happened that was only spread by bites of shambling hordes you would probably just have troops marching through towns in complete suits of cheap butcher mail, thick combat boots, and helmets.

Ah yes, a post inviting to argument about plausability of zombie apocalypse *stretches fingers*.

Dying Light and few others try to explain this with unlooted areas full of medicine. DL1 had Antizin + walls around and army waiting to blow up any rafts on the river. I am waiting for patches to DL2 before buying it with friends, but my guess is, people live in Villedor because of supplies from GRE. I've heard the game takes place 15 years after the first, plus The Harran Virus (THV) was contained then it broke off again. Crane's mutation and escape from quarantined countryside is handwaved. I can only explain the idiotic setup with removal of Avellone, maybe he had some ideas to convince people why people still flock to Villedor.

Anyway most of Sci-Fi settings are like this. Until you get Bethesda-moment of ghouls living in fridges for 200 years, who cares?
