I've spent the day dreaming about that Greyoll sleeping beauty, thinking of when I should ruin that drake booty

She's just how I like them - wings down, tail up - I'm gonna make that bitch lap my cum up

Prone and helpless
Her kin staring feckless
You think it's reckless to cum in a scaly?
Bitch is gonna regret trying bait me
Gonna tell her brood to fuck off
When I'm gonna get my fuck on

Sleep right, Greyoll - I'll wake you soon

Yeah, yeah, word, dawg, Lithy F signing off

Every speedrun iv ever seen looks unfun tho. It's cool to see major glitches but I can't imagine myself ever enjoying playing a game like that.
Unfun to play but I find it interesting to see the way people can totally break open a game using exploits and glitches

Hollow Knight and Dark Souls 2 are very entertaining to watch at speedrun level. I don't see the same happening for ER exactly for what people already pointed out, like 32 minutes of horsing before getting to the first boss of the run.

I'm not commenting on the enjoyability of watching speedruns, just that I can't see myself playing them. The main reason I watch speedruns is for the fun of seeing a game split wide open by exploits but actually using them isn't for me.

Greyoll's like, "but I'm a dragon, we turn into stone,"
Cunt, I am already as hard as a rock
And nothing will stop me from jumping your bones
Go ahead, petrify at the sight of my cock

There's been a lot of talk about the PvP meta going up to 150 and this guy breaks down why that's bullshit. Everyone shouldn't be able to do everything.

I saw a video of Asmongold playing DS3 and it was a total embarassment. Not sure i care what this guy has to say on the subject when he sucks at those type of games.

All these people bitching about never wanting to play this game again need to consider the fact that they just beat a 70-100 hour game in less than 2 weeks. That's playing the game at a rate of >40 hours per week. Most Souls games take 70-100 hours to 100%, which usually means playing through NG+2. So this is the longest Souls by far and you basically just mainlined it straight into your veins all at once.

Actual legit speedrun is out fellas

Actually the run is not legit because he is using a boss door exploit which ... is sad.

I think it's legit. People use the same door glitch on Dark Souls 3 Speedruns and fight Abyss Watchers with the AI turned off. Since the same engine and bugs are in ER, we'll probably see the same old tricks being used.

The correct answer is who gives a shit. Speed running is gay, nobody cares except speed runners themselves.

The problem is that i feel the meta should be something that's reasonable to expect for anyone playing the game normally all the way to the end.

Dedicated PvPers of course won't care, but i think for a lot of regular people the PvP would start once they finished the single player. You can reasonably end DS1 and DS3 while keeping within the meta without even having to pace yourself all that much. I ended up at SL120 on my first playthrough of DS1 and back then i knew nothing about the meta in the first place, i just played the game normally.

DS2 was different. I ended up at SL200 and i would have to suspect with this game being so large many people will end up with a very big SL as well once they have finished all the single player content. Now in DS2 it didn't matter as much because of how wierd the match making was with the Blood covenant guys and the whole SM thing but here it may be a problem. If a large pool of players end up with characters with very high SL it might be a problem when it comes to picking a suitable PvP meta. Which, all said, is totally From's fault since they designed the same build system as their previous games despite this one being twice as long.

Wow, started the coop with my new Prisoner Sorc/Spellblade. Just put a sign before the Rock Troll boss (Limgrave Tunnels), got summoned, and ROCKED that guy's troll trouble away. Pretty absurd damage.

I'm playing this game a lot, but I've only done 40 hours so far. Still loving it. That could change, but for the moment my estimation of FromSoft is: DS1 > Elden Ring > DS2 > Sekiro > DS3 (never played Demon Souls or Bloodborne, so I can't rank them).

This is problably true.

I only have 35 hours clocked in myself and i don't feel any need to rush towards the end.

With that said, i will put forward part of the problem is also that this game is similar enough to DS3 that some people may be carrying in some residual burn out from that game into this one.

I kinda feel that myself. I didn't have that problem with DS2 vis DS1 because of how balls different Dark Souls 2 was compared to the first one (for good or for bad) but Elden Ring is just a bit too familiar for my tastes.

There's also something else i'm noticing and that is i'm not invested into the story and NPCs all that much. Something about this game is failing to draw me in. DS3 too was a huge let down with all the recycled NPCs but it did have a couple that were still good. The little thief guy, and Siegmeyer was still fun. In Elden Ring i have yet to find an NPC with whom i am actually invested in at all.

On the note of "you're burned out" meme defense put out by some here: That's not a valid criticism against the incessant repetition the game forces you into post 20-30 hours of gameplay. At that point, the game devolves into rummaging through a pile of shit for a sapphire or two. I can't envision myself playing this ever again once I 100% it now and this is coming from someone who ran 3 consecutive 40-50 hour Wrath of Righteous runs and doesn't know the definition of insanity.

Maybe that means you shouldn't have skipped Sekiro.

Possibly.

But i didn't "skip" it per-se, i was just waiting to get it at a sufficent discount but that never happened. I could have removed it from inventory, like i just did for Elden Ring but i just feel dirty when i do that. I'm feeling dirty right now too but fuck me man, 60 euros is a bit much.

Also, a 80h of padded and repetitive playthrough does not equal two times a 40h playthrough of a tightly designed game.

I've replayed Bloodborne ten times aready and only in the last playthrough I got burnt out of it. That means almost 300 hours of playtime where my juices kept pumping through my body, my dick hard as a rock. Here I'm 35-40 hours in and my dick is failing already.

This open world shit was a huge mistake and i wish once the hype phase ends enough malcontent mounts to send From a message.

I've pretty much completeted 100% of Limegrave and 100% of Stormveil (everything but the boss), and i barely remember shit from Limegrave but Stormveil is already branded in my brain.

I fucking hate the talk about pvp meta. It always seemed like some bullshit pulled out of someone's arse which, unfortunately, spread like the black plague and everyone is now building for muh "meta".

It's not bullshit though. It's about ensuring a level playing field and a consistent flow of connections.

I never cared much for PvP in DS3 and I doubt I'll care much for it in this game either, but I've heard the latest stupid PvP meme build is combining a spell called Fire's Deadly Sin and a weapon called Eclipse Shotel.
Apparently the shotel's weapon art makes your attacks build up the Death Blight status effect (functions basically like petrification in the old games; full gauge means instant death) and the fire spell sets you ablaze which damages nearby enemies.
The result is that you can just stand in the vicinity of people to build up Death Blight which kills them very fast.
