I think a lot of people are playing elden ring right now, so the only people playing this are people who don't like dork souls.
I gave it a try to give it a fair review from someone who isn't a massive PB fan but I can't even complete the game.

It's actually Triangle Strategy keeping me from playing this... That and most of the posts in this thread.

I recently visited Outlaw Town for the first time and was appalled by the performance. Low FPS and incredible texture flickering, even on my high-end rig.

Congrats to PB for barely beating Risen 3's peak. Unfortunately they didn't beat Risen 2's peak.

Well, it seems this game has straight up decided to refuse to cooperate for me. Merely starting it puts my GPU usage to ~98% in the main menu, and after loading any save game the FPS rate is just unplayable. Earlier today I played for like 10 minutes to check something and now it simply refuses to budge, even after restarting the computard.

Guess I'll have to wait for patches and hope they actually do shit.

someone was asking about boosters:
First you need to take a feat in jet bench. Then at the bottom(while using said bench), to the right you will have new awesome button allowing you to slot boosters in your inventory.

They are single use and trigger right before hitting the ground. Honestly I find them a bit worthless when feats are tight, probably its something you can grab late game when you brew large elex potions?

Speaking of jet pack feats - did some testing and best qol one is jet sprint. I cant imagine not having it now.

Whats dissapointing is lack of special melee jet attack from elex1(even though it was buggy and didnt work half of the time)

EDIT: I take it back, you do get new melee dive from the skies kind of attack, still clunky

Performance is great on my 3070. Story, writing, voice acting and gameplay, not so great.

configdefaultnew is regenerated from configdefault each time you launch the game

As Elex II is still based on the Genome engine (same engine that powered G3), it's possible that changing the graphical settings forced a recompilation of the shader cache which fixed a bugged shader.

G3 used to have a similar performance issue back near release.

There was no update. Headgear appearing randomly in dialogues is nothing new, it happened to me on friday.

Also, little known ELEX fact:

If you attack right after rolling, you make a stronk attack that throws an enemy off balance. This is now my secret weapon against all wildlife.

It was MAJOR curve throw against you by the plot. Also reason why main character didn't have kill switch.
