I guess it depends where you're coming from. If you never played a Fallout game (or good old rpg's) and you get your hands on Fallout 3, or New Vegas you'll be fucking amazed - post apocalyptic open world rpg in 3d - fuck yeah! However, if you have played the first two Fallouts and you expect the same immersive story and atmosphere or if you're an rpg connoisseur you'll bitch about it ad infinitum because it could've been soooo much better. But let's consider for a moment why is this happening, why Bethesda doesn't submit to our infinite wisdom and make this the "perfect rpg". Number one issue would be that they are a company in the bussiness of making MONEY rather than GAMES. They are not some small indie company where folks get excited about this feature and that feature and are driven by passion - they couldn't be even if they wanted, it's simply not possible when you're this giant studio - way too many people with various interests and opinions. And most of the gamers out there - let's be blunt about it - are a bit dumb when it comes to advanced stats, complex mechanics and the lack of an arrow on the minimap - so even if they made this worthy succesor of Fallout 1/2 its reach would probably be much, much smaller than it currently is - which is a bad thing imho - at least this way it introduced more people to teh first 2 Fallouts (myself included). I am not defending Bethesda - I wouldn't dare do that here ) - I am simply acknowledging that given the current situation Bethesda is doing what it should be doing - compromising between popamole and "perfect" rpg mechanics in order to have a large audience reach and make tons of money without blatantly dumbing down the gameplay so it can keep the appearance of a respectable, rpg-oriented company.
Where's the bright side?On the bright side Jaesun's back.
That trailer makes the game look like a bland mixup of Fallout 3 and Bioshock Infinite. Not that these aren't blandshit games to begin with.
I don't know, it just looks bland and boring. And even worse, it doesn't even FEEL like Fallout. Just the typical Bethesda incoherent mish-mash.
Fucking cities with skyscrapers, seriously?? Trees everywhere, colourful skies. Where's the endless wasteland, the red sunsets, the rust and desolation??
Bethesda are fucking retards catering to retard audiences, incapable of making a moody atmosphere.
In Fallout 4, mixing things up, we are making the game more ‘Story Based’ and the player character will finally talk, and narrate his storyline. At the beginning of the game, you create your character (You can only be a male in the main story),”.
PC version includes a “Classic Mode” that will feature a bird’s-eye view like the original titles
I’d be pretty down, as I tend to play games of this sort as a fiery, chaotic neutral red-headed woman.

Besides, civillized in my post-apoc? Heresy I say. The whole fun of the genre is small pockets of corrupt pseudo civilization, with chaos and danger outside of that, and all the human excesses given free reign. That mixed up with rusted remains of a previous "golden" civilization.

the site is calling 'disturbing' that you cannot play as a female.
Most likely their best post-Daggerfall game eh? Like you said about Fallout 3 if I remember correctly. Skill checks in dialogues and all that. The trailer shows Bethesda's creativity and deep understanding of the Fallout setting, so fuck yeah, I'm excited. If the rumors are true, it will be a dramatic experience paying homage to The Last of Us and the story will revolve around you seeking revenge for the death of your wife, a middle-aged woman.@Vault Dweller what are your impressions?
you can hunt t rexes in gothic 3,VD also liked Gothic 3 (not being sarcastic this time).
you can hunt t rexes in gothic 3,moreall rpgs should adopt that feature
