Jumping on? They've had a seat on that train since Fallout 3. Did they actually get good feedback on that from Fallout 3? Hey, Liam Neeson is telling me he's my dad in a completely prescripted relationship that's exactly the same for every player, so now I'm supposed to be emotionally invested? Now I suppose that Kirsten Stewart is going to be the voice of my unconventional, loving wife with a pitch-corrected Rob Schneider as my wisecracking, precocious son. Jesus H. Christ.I see Bethesda are jumping on the "PROTECT YOUR *Family member/child" plot device that every cinematic majestic game seems to be using; I assume the plot is gonna have the player hunting down their family who were cryo-frozen together but have mysteriously disappeared.
One of the biggest complaints I've seen about New Vegas (outside this forum) is that it lacks the emotional engagement of Fallout 3's familial beginnings and therefore has a weaker story. Of course, it's particulalry hilarious coming from Bethesda fans considering how Elder Scrolls games typically start.Did they actually get good feedback on that from Fallout 3?
I just hope that all this ends up with Obsidian making New Vegas 2 using an engine that's at least slightly less shitty than the previous one. Apart from that I'll happily ignore the existence of any Beth made Failout 4.
Speaking protagonist? Shepard confirmed![]()
Feargus mentioned in an interview that they have been talking with Beth about making another one, so I wouldn't panic. There's a lot of possible obstacles to another Obsidian fallout though.I just hope that all this ends up with Obsidian making New Vegas 2 using an engine that's at least slightly less shitty than the previous one. I worry we'll never get another Obsidian Fallout due to the metacritic comments and whatnot.

As a non-american the whole "it's gonna be in Boston!" announcement falls flat for me.
As an American, I don't see what's special about Bahston either. As a non-american the whole "it's gonna be in Boston!" announcement falls flat for me. I just don't care enough to differentiate all those towns especially if the nukes did their job there wouldn't be much to differentiate.
is finally arriving to the idea that detailed environments matter far less than NPC interaction. He's like a baby crawling on the roadmap of game development, slowly retracing the footsteps of greater men from decades ago.
Maybe 10 years from now he'll be able to recreate something of Bioware quality.
tea party references and minutemen, it's gonna be awesome,As an American, I don't see what's special about Bahston either. As a non-american the whole "it's gonna be in Boston!" announcement falls flat for me. How about this one?I'm all for a lobstrocity, as long as it doesn't look like a power ranger villain like the mirelurks did.
