Before the Nintendo DS remake, Final Fantasy III was the least accessible game in the series since it was only available for Famicom in Japan. Now Luneth, the silvered haired Final Fantasy III protagonist is everywhere. Square Enix brought Final Fantasy III to DS, iOS (pictured), Android, PSP, and Ouya.

Next, Final Fantasy III is coming to PC. A rating by Germany’s USK board leaked the news.

While Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII already had PC ports, Final Fantasy III for PC is a new version of the game. That’s interesting to see and perhaps Square Enix is considering to bring even more Final Fantasy games to PC.

Final Fantasy Nexus

On that note I'm still waiting on a decent re-translation patch for VII. One came out this year, but some of the changes the dev made are insane even though he actually believes they are developer intent.

(He also made another mod where he replaces Cait Sith with his fanfiction charachter because Cait Sith apparently doesn't belong in the game and what he's doing by replacing it makes it closer to the devs vision)

Basically current FF modding is full of hilarious insane people.

They renamed moogles moguri. Ignoring every game that came before it because they think they are more accurate.

Completly missing the point of what a localization actually is.

Seriously.

Just read this moron

hen finished, this mod will completely remove Cait Sith from the game in favour of a new human character called Iscar Matthias. Iscar is from Judus Iscariot, and Matthias was the apostle chosen to replace him. I have chosen these names to be symbolic of the character's betrayal, and change into a valued ally. Iscar will change and grow as a character. At first he will be a simple Shin-Ra spy, dedicated to his job, but over time, he will come to understand that he is working for the wrong people and change sides.

Cait Sith is a poorly written character that was probably shoe horned into the story late in development. The character has no logical or believable reason to join your party, or be allowed to join it. The idea that Reeve, a top executive for Shin-Ra, could or would remote control a toy robot cat mounted on top of a stuffed white toy as a tool for espionage, is ridiculous.

Iscar will change the character model, script, FMV and battle related information. Cait will be utterly annihilated. Where possible I will stick to the original script. The basic plot will remain intact, except that it will be more plausible. I have actually had fanboys trying to rationalise the writing regarding Cait Sith. These people generally display an unbelievably poor understanding of fiction and writing (the usual excuse being "It's just fiction" *roll eyes*).

Cait's going no matter WHAT you say.

The dude is constantly talking as if FF is some great work of fiction.

So s/he doesn't like a character because he was thrown in last minute and it shows? Fair enough. Then we get into him/her adding his own character because he thinks it's better and we get into problem areas. Also what felipepepe said.
EDIT:Oh I read it wrong s/he said "probably thrown in at last minute. So s/he just doesn't like him then.
