Why the only thing Fargo showed about W2 until now are the graphics if every other RPG being made looks ten times better? :(
Because he knows people will be disappointed when it turns out not to be THE BEST THING SINCE FALLOUT ™ so he'd rather just leave you hoping for the best for as long as possible.

it's been almost 6 months since this thing was funded, and you don't even know the basic game mechanics other than things like "party" and "turn-based" which are p. much buzzwords nowadays.

Toaster repair as a skill has been confirmed on the forums. Don't know what it's going to be though.

Pre-production ends in October. After then, I'll expect to hear stuff, but not much before, they still have to lock this stuff down.

As usual, the portraits department is doing an outstanding job.

These portraits are a pretty good tool for maintaining interest in the project, I must say. You can release one every month or two and they look pretty kick-ass.

To hell with NPC random encounter... that Rail Thug is how I picture my goddamned PC, except with grimier teeth and a faint dried blood splatter on his visage from shooting people up close.

I'm getting pretty :bounce: about this game, fellows.

And that 'A' choice oversaturated Wasteland shot was glorious. It conveyed the scorching hot earth of the outback and added an iconic memorable palette and style to Wasteland 2.

A bunch of slack jawed faggots have gone and voted for mediocrity, demanding mundane landscapes on which the giant robot scorpion may unhappily meander. Where was your sense of the majestic? John F. Kennedy would have voted 'A'.

So many keywords... so many plots... so much dialogue... Wasteland, I love you.

Keywords. :bounce:

I mean fucking everything. This could be glorious. Like Fallout 1 all over again, but in Wasteland universe and more open world and bigger. Man. When the game finally "ships" I think I'll be afraid to run it. :D
It won't be good. Abandon hope.

I think it will be good. But anyway, even if it isn't it's OK. At least they tried with all the "old school" classical good stuff. Nobody today will even offer us that kind of game anymore. Look at Obsidian's "publisher free" project... :troll:

He does what producers should do more often : getting money without hindering the actual makers.

They're doing it for consistency's sake and because of technical limitations. What did you fucking expect? A Crysis 2 sequel? We're talking here about a 3 mil budget game.

"Stasis is very much a one man game. I am doing everything from the game design to the sound and animation."

Some mockups he did inspired by the Wasteland 2 announcement:

Never compare the passion of a true artist at work to a "art team" with a bunch of degrees in wallet raiding.
The one man team wins out ;)
