You'll have to be a better explorer than I am. I've done multiple complete GMDX 9 playthroughs and never saw a rape scene. Nobody has posted any screenshots or videos of it either, or even said which level it's in.

In the Paris level, near the night club, there's an apartment building with a dead female on the bed, a guard sitting close to said bed and another guard in the bathroom

Not even. There is no evidence even any murder occurred. It could be the local crackwhore that OD'd after a night of fun with the militia for example. I left it open to interpretation, the only conclusion possible is bad thing happened and they died, and that it was recent. I knew most people would jump to it being rape and I was fine with that, as rape is one of the darkest things about the military. I don't like to close my eyes to the horrors of humanity and reality, not pretend it doesn't happen like most. Furthermore Deus Ex handles death and murder in an almost comical way, you can do it to literally anyone (even children) without any real consequence, the same crappy death animation and scream over and over, there's corpses everywhere (also little gore unless you make it happen) so you get desensitised to it, there's hilarious memes ("omg daddy") surrounding death, and the game almost never makes you feel any particular way about it outside of a character getting mad here and there, and maybe holding out on giving you an item. Oftentimes it's more beneficial to kill them for the most items. It's rather in stark contrast to the brutal red pill realities it has to teach elsewhere. Paul is pretty effective at making your actions feel consequential and that death has meaning at the start of the game (first 10%), but after this it's a Benny Hill skit when it comes to these topics almost.
This was my contribution to the red pills of the game without writing a single line of text, as not writing story content was one of my design rules. If you have military occupation of a city, bad shit happens, and you don't even see that in Paris except people constantly complaining about the metro being shut down/travel restrictions and stifled business. Reminds me of COVID almost. That weirdo v10 nutjob complained that just across the street there is a conversation that humanizes MJ12....and? You think I wasn't aware of that? Can you not handle any nuance whatsoever, nor comprehend that individuals in a faction are not all one entity and have different motivations, principles, character, actions? Rhetorical question. Deranged idiotic person has been given more responses than is worth already.

I am also a big fan of how Fallout: New Vegas handles these topics (bad things in the military), so there was most likely some inspiration there.

Wonder what gave you that impression. The game on easy and normal is straight-up easier than vanilla and it is otherwise not that clear-cut even on realistic. Things like:

-No more frequent instant death to pistol, sword & sniper users. Damage multiplier for bullets and melee is REDUCED on realistic and hardcore. Vanilla you'd take an extra x4 damage, here it's x3.
-Accuracy system is more forgiving on easy.
-Damage you take from ALL damage sources (explosion, radiation, plasma, poison, drowning etc) is reduced on lower difficulties, not just bullets and melee.
-Snipers on all difficulties are no longer insane aimbotters one shot killing you across the map with lightning reflexes.
-Numerous redundancies are improved, so you get robbed less. For example, the PS20 is no longer worthless in damage nor super slow - wont get you killed attempting to use it. Skills no longer rob you.
-Base movement speed is faster.
-On normal and easy difficulty, AI is set back to vanilla deaf, blind, old man reflexes etc, though at least retain most of the added intelligence.
-Between new object interactions, weapon mods, much improved augmentations, armor and hazmats that can be equipped like armor in any other game, secondary weapons, mantling, perks and much more you have more options and power than ever. The enemies are more competent, but so is the player. It just depends on whether you utilize that power or not.
-So much more.

The only difficulty mode that is very obviously harder is the new hardcore mode, and that is mostly due to the restricted save system.

I don't consider myself a Deus Ex expert and I was able to get through my last GMDX playthrough on Realistic without too many problems. I'm probably going to try hardcore next.

The supposed "Rape Scene" is a single NPC placed in an apartment in the Paris Streets level. It's simply the standard female model with the "bottom dress part" removed, so she just has a shirt and underwear.

There's no implication of sexual violence, or anything of the sort. No animations, no text, no incinuations. Simply a dead NPC. Had I not told you about it you probably would not have even noticed, even if you found the NPC.

Ash has stated that the NPC was designed to remind people of games like Morrowind, where there's sometimes corpses missing pieces of clothing, but honestly even if it was done with the intention of "depicting rape", it's a very poor depiction and is so overblown by people who hate the mod that it's laughable.

I mean, if you dont like GMDX v9 because of bad coding or crashes or you feel the perk system are unnecessary or whatever, fine. But saying the mod is bad because the author is a "rape apologist" is just pure autism.

All the bullshit rape-apologist allegations flying around remind me of the most rabid "all men are rapists" rhetoric from radical feminists in the worst ways. Stop being so fucking stupid.

Anyway, if you enjoy v9, just wait until my version releases, which should improve a significant amount of things. I think the prospective changelog is a few pages back.
