Definitely MAX; never played the sequel, though.

RTS' are kinda meh for me since none can even come close to brood war. Thx for suggestions though.

Can Shattered Steel and the Freespace and Descent games be played properly without a stick/pad?
Descent is IMO unplayable on a keyboard. Really needs a stick. YMMV.

Redneck Rampage and Kingpin look like fun FPS'es. Are they?
RR is good fun, though not as good as DN3D in the level design department.

Stonekeep: To me this was the very first sign of The Decline when I saw a buddy of mine play it. I still remember feeling rather disgusted by the use of cinematic cutscenes, and gameplay that looked dull compared to Dungeon Master and its clones. So I think I'll skip this one.
I hated Stonekeep on release. Replayed it a couple of years ago and it was much better than I remember. Either I've mellowed out or it's not a bad game. If you can look past the FMV and the horrible UI it has some really good levels (Gate of the Ancients is my favourite - no enemies, all puzzles) and is otherwise relatively enjoyable. Depends on the price of course. Music is also great.

Both are good if you are into two things. Angry South man drinking booze and shooting fat guys with the shotguns. But the sewer level gave me a headache, horrible one. Apparently the expansions were better in that department. As for the Kingping - very good, nice gangsta climate with Cypress Hill music. From beaten little piece of nothing you are moving up in the food chain. Hiring henchmen, robbing, and of course many shooting scenes. Very nice language filter, such as "cock, pussyass, fuck" and many others.

It's really cheesy, but the gameplay mechanics are actually fun, especially the unusual magic system (you get a rune staff and can inscribe runes=spells on it, which can be modified with so called meta-runes). Also features an awesome in-game journal with item/spell descriptions, which you can modify to reflect their effects etc. By no means a storyfag game, though, and genuinely challenging at times. I'd recommend it if you're into blobbers.

On another note, all those games (except Screamer 2) were available for a total of $35 a while ago.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Hmm, GoG reviews say this game is Monkey Island funny.
I hope the conversation with the mummy in the gameplay trailer is not supposed to be a case in point?

I never played Overlord. Is it any good? I enjoyed the free, NSFW hentai version for obvious reasons: http://overwhored.blogspot.com/?zx=a7388011d1ef23a0
It's somewhat decent though the controls are made for gamepad and it's a bid clunky compared to it's sequel (though the sequel's worse in some ways). I had fun with it though even for $10 I'm not sure I would recommend it for that price. On sale sure.

Very fun game. Micro-menaging your Minions (their behaviour is sometimes hillarious), building your evil tower and making quests. Rhianna Pratchett made a nice story, and the graphics are very "warmy". It's like Larian game, not to be taken too serious, but good on it's own terms. Hell, I'm gonna replay it this year.

Todays release is Sword of the Stars: The Pit, available for $7.49 until Thursday, April 25, at 9:59AM GMT

Also you can pre-order Dyad for $11.99 until Wednesday, April 24

Sword of the Stars: The Pit is one of my personal favorites. I highly recommend it if you like a good roguelike. Also, the devs are total bros because they listen to the community and usually implement feedback that makes sense.

I am sooooo glad we got it on GOG, even if it was a little late

(Yes, I work for GOG so take my recommendation as you will :D)

They released another DLC for Omerta, talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Also, the sequel to Eador Genesis is out, but seems to be unfinished/samey according to the first reviews.

I own those Telltale games on their site... wish they would patch out the DRM since they're DRM free on GOG anyway. Though I guess they could have done it already and I wouldn't know, heh.

I know you're the official GOG PR drone but, let's face it, the whole classic games, DRM free, anti-DLC schtick are mostly marketing gimmicks. I won't begrudge a company for wanting to make money but let's not kid anyone. Most of the people here are savvier than the halfwits who post on GOG forums. Blah blah blah... we only sell old games... blah blah blah we have our core values against paid DLC and wutwut in the buttbutt... but over the years as GOG's market share has grown so, too, has the steady retreat from their alleged core values.

Again, I don't begrudge a company for seeking profit but it's hilarious to see how obvious hypocrisy gets swept under the rug.

Their core tenants change, sadly. Right now they are DRM free and worldwide availability... who knows what they might be in a year.

Still as long as they are DRM free I'll buy games there when I can.

Well shiver me timbers I'm shocked.
I got one shocker for you - when a shop assistant smiles at you and is very very nice to you, it don't mean she actually likes you. In fact, she doesn't give a fuck about you, it's just a marketing trick to make you come back.
But so what? Does such evil hypocrisy hurt your feelings?
Of course the whole schtick is just a way to distinguish GOG from the crowd. They spotted a market opportunity and they seized it. Maybe some ppl from GOG actually believe DRM or DLC-spam is evil but they certainly wouldn't start their business on that fact if there wasn't market for it.
And as long as they sell great games without DRM and for a good price I honestly don't give a damn what they actually believe or don't believe.
