Anyone who has played Blood may be familiar with the names James Wilson and Terry Hamel, both being mappers for Blood. If you haven't known this already, they happened to have some Doom maps of their own, presumably made before joining Q Studios and Monolith Productions. James Wilson has made a few maps, while Terry Hamel only has one known map to his name.

All of them are worth checking out if you're a fan of Blood. James Wilson's output turned out to be the most challenging (particularly his Return to Purgatory episode), close to the knockabout gameplay style of Plutonia and Hell Revealed, despite the fact that they came before those two megawads. All of the maps are fun, pretty much so as they must have got them the job at Monolith. Highly recommended. Enjoy.

As far as I know crispy doom is just chocolate doom with double the resolution and a name that makes codexers smile.Having some troubles with compiling Crispy Doom on Linux (last time it went ok but know - dunno the reason), I'm seeking for retro, leighweight port, does Chocolate Doom much differ from Crispy?
I just finished Doom Darkstar. It's a Russian wad by Vitalik K., and a somewhat obscure one, because when I tried to search for it I could find it only on a Russian site (I don't know how it ended on my HD, maybe someone already mentioned it in this thread). link: http://www.mediafire.com/file/pdm73fa99mbcc29/doom_darkstar_low.zip
:russians:Detailing and scripting were p impressive, especially since author never made anything before or since AFAIK. I have no idea why he didn't try to promote it on Doomworld considering the amount of effort that obviously went into it.
