imagine randy pitchford worrying about releasing a potentially shitty game when he is the king of stupid, shitty games. it feels more like he worries about accidentally releasing a good oneHe's probably worried about a half-finished and shitty Duke game hurting the brand, like Forever already did. I'd guess he has his eyes on a future comeback for the franchise, deluded or not.

Golden! Bitchfraud is the main roadblock, but instead he shirks off responsibility to anyone and everyone else (2K, the old team at 3D Realms) and then has the gall to lecture people on morals and ethics.
Lee Jackson's first non-game-music album, except for track 2, which was used at E3 Atlanta in 1998 as part of the Duke Nukem Forever secret demo.
Several months, IIRC. Change to UE was in 1998. So it was probably nothing much. But do we have any information on the Quake 2 builds ?
There was a trailer ; how far along was the game ?
http://legacy.3drealms.com/news/1998/06/duke_nukem_fore_6.htmlWe don't feel there will be a significant development delay, but there will be a slight one as we move over to the new engine. But this is analogous to people moving from the Quake 1 to the Quake 2 engine. Our game data will convert right over, without a hitch.
