1) To have a VO on the trailer like that, either the devs are cucks or they genuinely think it's cool, in either case, it doesn't bode well for the game.
2) If it's not the devs themselves responsible for that, then they either chose and monitored the people who did it or they didn't, if they didn't choose and monitor the people who made the trailer, that's poor attention to detail, which doesn't bode well; if they did choose, then see 1)

Golliwog marketing out in full force again I see, works great as every time with faggots coming out of the woodwork to proclaim their undying love and absolute worship of basketball Americans while others complain about nigger fatigue. Meanwhile this game was certified to be shit not only because there have been countless failed attempts to recapture how great the first two Jagged Alliance games were without success and this shows no signs to be any different, but also because it's made by subhuman Bulgarians who can't be trusted to sort your socks without screwing it up. The only team that could have made a fun game, that still wouldn't have been as good as the first two, would have been Nival since Silent Storm without panzerkleins would be peak tactics performance. Shame that ship has sailed.

You guys can go back to simping over monkeys in a thread about a game that will be forgotten a couple of weeks after release now.

Let this be a warning to everyone involved: we do not put up with taking over threads in GRPG with off-topic crap, no matter the game and no matter the nature of the thread in GRPG. ... but seriously, would it have been so bad if they got somebody like Carl Weathers or Idris Elba to do the voiceover? That would have sounded awesome, very apt. What about James Earl Jones or somebody with some gravitas?

It was so bad... IIRC devs went to the E3 or something? and got humiliated by AI, which spammed grenades with perfect accuracy.
People were not so amused, obviously.

Hey, I don't like this narrator's voice any more than you do. If the actual game, however, A) doesn't feature him and B) is actually even partially up to the challenge of being worthy of being called Jagged Alliance,

...then I couldn't care less.

All the characters who speak in the trailer sound pretty well done as voice overs. Then it cuts back to Huggy Bear doing the narration. Again, where is the judgement?

The judgement to avoid cringe? Because I don't think it was intentional to be funny. I just think the devs are so out of it they thought that was somehow hip.

... and an Arnie fake or otherwise would have been utterly awesome.

The game takes place in an African country. If seeing and hearing black people in a game makes you recoil, you should avoid it entirely (though the point is that you'll be killing many of them).
