That game of thrones mod is never going to come to light, even if it did it would most likely be crap. Making a mod like that is a huge undertaking, and kingdom come does not have a fanbase the size of the skyrim fandom to make it happen like with enderal.

If the mod actually did come out and was good, the KCD fanbase would be irrelevant; GoT fanbase would eat it up.
But yes, the probability of it ever coming out (and being good) is extremely miniscule.

The TES fanbase is like 10 trillion people, with hundreds of billions of modders, but all the Daggerfall/Morrowind/Oblivion conversion mods are still hilarious vaporwares.

The news that one dude wanna create a total conversion mod of KCD was worth a whole day of quality laugh for me.

Everyone who's into programming knows that novice programmers and developers pretty much always tend to vastly underestimate how much time it takes to make anything. When they give time estimates they always give the best possible scenario, assuming that everything goes smoothly and swimmingly at every step of the way, which of course is never the case. The same is true with many modders.

The funniest TES modding project of them all is Tamriel Rebuilt. Shortly after Morrowind came out a bunch of modders decided that they were going to expand the map to create the entirety of Tamriel to scale (LOL). After a while they decided to limit the project's scope to solely expand the map to Morrowind's mainland. As of right now, after 17 years of work, they still haven't finnished Morrowind's mainland, and I'd estimate that they are about halfway done with that.

The classic noob mistake is to start with something absurdly ambitious and try to do everything at once and end up never finishing anything *Cough" Star Citizen *Cough*. Instead its better to limit your scope to something much smaller initialiity, and only when you are 95% done with that do you start adding more stuff on top of it, in a gradual manner.

The GoT mod will only succeed if the modmaker realises this.

It can't, it's absurdly overambitious from the get to. There is no limiting scope here, it's either a "GoT world in the KCD engine" or nothing. If they just replace the Talmberg NPCs with a bunch of fanfic Lannister characters they'll get laughed at so much it's gonna scar them for life. This whole project is an irredeemable joke and we should stop pay attention to it.

What I'm actually interested in are total rebalance mods like the ones for TW3. I guess some combat mods already exists, I know PorkyThePaladin recommended them in his review, but this game is in a great need of rebalancing the rep system, the dialogue checks, fixing the criminally underused Charisma stat, fixing merchants stashes so it's not so stupidly easy to rob them over and over again, rebalancing the fence mechanics and the economy in general, nerfing reading (it's WAY too fast, rendering most reading perks useless), adding modular difficulty options and so on.

First play was epic (played as zero crime illiterate so no potion too) but second one that I did shortly after with crimes too was a little boring. I was a criminal and people liked me too included Theresa's uncle. So in the end was always same game with some pickpocket and lockpick minigame plus a little poaching.
I think that mod should make game (well late game at least) more difficult and put some Robin Hood vibe (?) where as criminal merchant and nobles dislikes you while commoners may like you, then a full evil bandit path then classic path. You don't need to change main quest too much since bandit, thief or knight you share same enemies of Radzig anyway.

Got stuff makes no sense, game is just a little rural area, It would be like crusader Kingdom come or birthright the gorgon's Kingdom coming. Those stuff are popular but they need tons of npc and area. Even a Hokuto no Ken mod would make more sense: you have to redone entirely the combat but at least the small area with tiny villages and large void around fits well.

Pretty much. I'd advise people who want to create a "massive game" to try making something small in RPGmaker first. They'll have enough assets (and be easily able to download more) to bypass the need for an artist and graphic, and will be free to realise themselves in a retard-proof environment, and see just how long something as simple takes them.

I don't know much about archery, but i just died from trying to hunt hares against Sir Hans.
Got 5 hares but my hands started bleeding and bandages didn't help.

"My father died on a hunting accident. Gainst hares."

It was a hard time.

You get told in the archery tutorial in Rattay to keep the vambraces equipped as long as you're a newb.

Game is fucking great! We need more games in a medieval setting.
Also is pretty gothic-like. It feels good to be a stupid peasant who can't read.
And it just looks like czech countryside.
I like it.
Was afraid that the saving system would annoy me. But so far everything is nice.

I started hardcore mode. Gambling seems more challenging. People are still greedy dumb and they roll the last remaining dice even if they are winning 500+ but they win more often. I managed to lost 8 times row against Skalitz gambler, once he even completed the dice collection two times in row and stopped only because he reached the 4000 needed, he also refused 1000 points after making three 1 because it wasn't enough for him!

FINALLY got around to finishing the last DLC and the entire game. Both parts of Woman's Lot were grate, I actually preferred the Theresa part slightly - dramatic, emoshunal and after my Henry became god-tier OP in the main game it was refreshing to have some danger back - but the Johanka part had excellent writing. One of the best written quests I've ever played.

Only annoyance is I fucked myself like 100 hours back in Uzhitz when I successfully passed Godwin's charisma check and therefore skipped his drinking quest. That screwed me from two cheevos and since I'm a cheevo bitch that got me mighty miffed. Plus apparently I'll have to do at least TWO more playthroughs now - one for the two "get pissed with Godwin" cheevos AND one for Virgin. Oh well.

For my future reference I'm missing those: King Charming, Merciful, Level Cap, David Horak, Master Huntsman, Virgin, Trial and Error, You Had One Job, Voyeur, Infernal Justice, Cleric's Pet....oi, fuck off my private message will you?

Also apparently if you play on Hardcore with Numbskull you don't hit the level cap even though you hoover up every speck of content in the game. Now I bid farewell to the game and I'll see it in like 3 years again, probably right before the sequel comes out.

Combat sucks ass, is there a way to prevent the automatic turning when getting attacked? Because holy shit, the combat seems fine when dueling a single person but the moment another one jumps in, Henry turns retarded. I really wish if there are traps or bombs or something to help deal with groups. You can't even use potions during combat.

Almost everything in this game is a chore, armor needs cleaning and repairing every few min and everything has to have a mini game or some larping shit. Probably would have quit if I wasn't enjoying the story and the characters.

Some quests seem broken or something, sometimes they mention something when I didn't do it or encounter it.

I went and did all the DLC and enjoyed most of it except Johanka's quest made me ragequit when I had to escort some thot whore to Sasau and got jumped by 3 fuckers who would hit me in the back like bitches. Absolutely infuriating how shit kept switching, could never actually do anything because if I went to block one another behind me would be hitting me.. died like 6 times and then just said fuck it, quit the game and uninstalled.

Yeah proper solution is just to shoot one in the face with an arrow before bashing the other two to death.

So, I finally bought it and spend a few hours picking all the herbs, talking to everyone and doing all the quests. And had to Run!

This is by far the worst designed, frustrating and irritating quest I ever did. It took me about 10 tries just to figure out the very bad controls and what I am supposed to do. And they kill me every time. It is beyond retarded. Fuck this game.

Open world, as in: "you can go any direction and do anything", but unless it's the exact one the game demands you to take without telling you, you die.
