For copium drinkers.

Mockingly to a woke czech jorunalist: "There is not enough black characters, don't you mind, especially you, a journalist?"

"I can't comment on that, but you will be surprised in the review..."

The fact that they're not just uploading a straight gameplay clip at this point is kind of strange.
It is baffling, isn't it? Why not provide a second video, from multiple angles? Why no video of the dialogue with the guy? Why no leaks of anything else in the game? Supposedly, this Musa is in the second act - there's a lot to leak in the second act. Why just a short, choppy video?

Vávra has the option to do the funniest shit ever: raceswap the character to be white with a day 1 patch and reveal that he was only there to manipulate the gaming press.

No, I'm not high on copium, I do not for a nanosecond believe this to be reality, I'm quite sure they're eventually going to provide some historical explanation that's going to be theoretically possible but implausible and unsatisfactory and that's that.

But it would be really, really funny.

It's already implausible to the point of bieng fantastical.

A man making a journey like that would have been a big historical event.

Also, the fact he is a "scholar", like some Zulu like African kingdom at the far end of the Sahara would know everything about European medieval culture. We are talking about the people who build this:

Djenne_great_mud_mosque.jpg

Also, those people were barely literate so what kind of scholar is he gonna be? What did he study? In what language? From whom?

Looking at the image very closely and compared it to the webm, I can't help but wonder. The decoration on the turban look different, don't they? On one, you can see the coins hanging low. It's not present on the webm. It looks off on the webm in other regards too - which you can see despite the low quality of the image. And the ornament on his shoulders. That looks different too.

During the time of the Crusades, which were primarily intended to channel the aggressiveness of Christian feudal lords toward Muslim lands by offering them paradise, some common folk, who were poorly prepared, also wanted to join in and gain access to paradise. They would walk a few kilometers on foot and, upon reaching the next village they had never visited, would ask, "Is this Jerusalem?" This illustrates how implausible it would have been for a Malian to have reached there. At that time, the villagers in the next village were already considered diverse. An Ottoman or a Mamluk, a renowned physician joining the court of Hungary? Sure, why not—but apparently, they have the wrong skin color and race, which is suddenly of utmost importance, as certain mustache man once emphasized. But we know very well what this is: a kowtow to DEI ideology. That will not stop me from playing it, but only with a hefty discount. I will not pay full price, since propaganda is included, and I do not see why I should pay to be educated on how to think right.

For contrast, look at Markvart von Aulitz in the first game, or even the polish mercenary from the second game. Markvart speaks czech with great difficulty, the pole doesn't speak it at all.

They are wildly inconsistent with languages, so it doesn't mean anything. Úličtí of Úlice were possibly originally a German family, but they were based in Bohemia for at least a century and members of that family had Czech names like Hynek or Lvík. But in the game they used German version of Markvart's name and German accent, because "German = Bad" trope. Meanwhile Konrad Kyeser, who was 100% German, who didn't speak Czech, is talking without an accent in the game, because he's supposed to be one of the good ones, I guess. Henry, who in one quest doesn't understand Hungarian, can spit out Hungarian sentences with no problem in another quest. The Bauers were supposed to be a German Waldensian family, but they also spoke with no accent.

In the second game they changed it and now German characters speak English with some German words thrown in, but the Polish character speaks just Polish and Henry doesn't understand him, even though at that time Czech and Polish would be very close. It's a mess.

Yeah. It reminds me of Anne Boleyn and Cleopatra. The first had olive skin, but they made her black. The second was from the line of Egyptian rulers who were... inbreed Greeks (well, Macedonians) so she likely also had olive skin, but Netflix tried to make her black "because Egypt" and it was so stupid that even the modern Egyptians got upset.

This got the the point where you can find people asking questions like "Is it true that Anne Boleyn was black?", because not everybody might know much of history (or certain characters). So this is, in effect, falsifying history. And putting in a character of wrong skin color (black instead of brown, for example) fits exactly in that. What makes this even more egregious is that Kingdom Come: Deliverance was touted as historically accurate game/series. At this point it is hard to take these claims seriously.

In the second game they changed it and now German characters speak English with some German words thrown in, but the Polish character speaks just Polish and Henry doesn't understand him, even though at that time Czech and Polish would be very close. It's a mess.
Sounds to me like they wanted to convey to the player that Henry can understand German, but not Polish. It was the same when Henry started reading Latin. You do read some Latin as part of your training to read in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1, but after that the books are written in English. Similarly, in a lot of games the way to convey a character's nationality is done via English mixed with foreign words plus an accent, without going into full native language with English subtitles.

Ideally they could have made the Pole to speak "broken Czech", just as you have "broken Latin" and "broken Czech" when learning Latin. Feels like a missed opportunity for some fun misunderstandings.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
The only potential problem with the Gypsos is not that they're there. The real concern is Warhorse turning them into some noble savages, marginalized and oppressed people who just want to live in peace with the others instead of the thieves, pickpockets and shady scammers they've been for the last 600 years.

Gypses have LITERALLY been cast out of India, yes INDIA, for being cast of thieves, murders, rapists, liars and maniacs. In every single european country, or middle eastern, from Russia to Egypt, from Ireland to Spain, everywhere they have same reputation: that of thieves, murders, rapists, liars and maniacs. It's not pit bulls, pit bulls are angel dogs! It's not my child, It's children from 50 last kindergardens! It's not Gypses, It's racism!

Also why did Vavra sell warhorse? Why every slavic company that achieve some success sells their company, instead finding successor that will carry legacy and company on?
