As tempting as it is to vote A and kill that son of a bitch, I'd like the plot to move ahead faster, and having to sit through another fight update won't help.

So I pick Devour So- C. We're the fucking Jeremiah, bitch. No way Slaanesh is going to replace us with an incompetent Daemon Prince who just lost a whole goddamn fleet.

Undefeated? Pfagh, for now. Punch the traitorous bastard into the ground and show his legion who's the better man to follow: a corpse or Jeremiah. Voting A.

btw, that last decision you guys made...was a faction choice.

:M

You shouldn't have said that :D . I figured it out from the first phrase (it was pretty "In your face, stupid!") but it would have been lulzy to see how many people would have figured it out or how long would it take for the genpop to do it :D . Let me see if I read this right. The choices meant:
A - Chaos
B - Tyranids
C - Eldar
D - Resistance
And you baited the grimdark brigade with the way C was worded so that we would be unwittingly punishing ourselves for our past faction choice transgressions by choosing Eldar. Awesome! root, you magnificent bastard! :salute:

Lorgar is pathetic religitard not worth wasting any time or thought on. Let the Great Old One devour him for his incompetence, we have a Crusade to attend to.

No one's speculating about Madhatta's identity? He can shapeshift, has a strong warp presence, knows a lot about Space Marines, and can apparently one-shot legendary champions effortlessly. That's an odd collection of characteristics; the power level limits the number of entities it could be, but there aren't any obvious candidates. My pick would be Ahriman, if he hadn't had a god and then planet explode on top of him.

For the choice, ignoring a rogue daemon primarch seems unlikely to end well. As for our two options for dealing with him, redeploying our bodyguards could be unwise while Madhatta's aboard our ship. Clearly, the safest bet is to try to arm wrestle the daemon prince. A.

My WH40K lore knowledge is somewhat lacking, but even after a search through the various WH40K wikis I know of didn't help me find any creature that matches Madhatta's description. The shapeshifting is especially troubling. So I chose to file that under "to be investigated further" and based my decisions on what's already known from a strategic perspective:

1) ignoring Lorgar and going straight for the Imperium would be a strategic mistake because we might found ourselves between a rock and a hardplace. You can count on Lorgar making a move on us when we least expect it and that's a chance not worth taking, especially given that we don't have any information more detailed than "move on with the Black Crusade", so it's not like we know for sure that we would be missing some great opportunity if we take a little time to do some house cleaning.
2) sending the Twins would be an option but we need to make sure that Lorgar is taken care of decisively, so this is not the time to delegate.

Yeah, I don't think anything matching Madhatta's abilities is in the lore. Shapeshifting is a very rare ability in 40K; the only things I can think of that have it are the C'tan, and none of them have warp presences. (Except the Outsider, and he's still locked down.) It implies a mastery of the body that the Emperor himself didn't have, or else he wouldn't have gotten stuck in a chair for 10,000 years. So whatever Madhatta is, he's a being of godlike power. And rather unfriendly toward Chaos.

And Jeremiah's currently holding the Mystery Box. We don't know much about that, either, except that the Deceiver carried it around for 39,000 years, and it was apparently considered a fair trade for an Emperor recipe. Given Madhatta's apparent knowledge, power, and disposition, I'd guess that he'll recognize it once he sees it (which he will if he sticks around long enough) and will be willing to kill Jeremiah to get it.

Back to the Twins, I think Root described them as being substantially scarier than a bloodthirster. Plus, they were the only two somewhat competent characters we ever played. So I don't doubt their ability to bring Lorgar to heel, but I'm more concerned with the godlike being standing next to us right now.

In b4 chaos dies to eldar :)

See, us clever eldar-voters had the farsight many moons ago to realize whatever faction KKKodex chooses inevitably dies horribly. So we just made sure all the other factions got voted in and watched the ensuing trainwrecks.

I vote for E.

Quickly put on a fake moustache, and say:

"Warmaster? Oh, you must be confusing me with Jeremiah, my brother. Sadly I don't know where he and his troops are, but I assure you my good man, I'm not him and those ships you see are here on the way to fight some other people who are absolutely not yourselves. I can pass a message, though, if you want?"
