a clarification: the paragon choice means telling Caidin everything that has happened, Deceiver, Halo Device, Tzeentch, Tyrant Star and all.

Telling him everything is our best bet at making an ally that isn't a manipulative, double-crossing bastard. The Emperor knows we need one right about now. If we don't get our shit together, the Nightbringer will end us before we can do anything about the situation on Mars.

In the off chance that the Lord Inquisitor decides to go full Fuklaw on us, the Deceiver will save our asses and mindwipe him - most likely in exchange for our undying allegiance. Jackal God > Changer of Ways anyway.

I would also be inclined to tell him everything. We should explain that we are doomed, and we know we are dead, but can still be of value for the Imperium. Our only goal is to keep the sector whole so that it may face the great threats swirling ever closer. We are confident we are up to this task (right guys? guys?). The easy way out is to kill ourselves. This is tantamount to surrender, dooming the sector into chaos, and failing the Imperium. Our circumstances pale in comparison to the survival of Man. There is still much to be done. Eventually, of course, we will be consumed by the halo device. We need the Lord Inquisitor to trust us, work together with us... and put us down when we spiral out of control.

I initially wanted to abstain from using the Halo Device and its powers because I wanted Haxbro's mind to be sharp (and to give a big "fuck you" to The Deceiver) but this might be a way to salvage something, even if it will be yet another flip-flop. Christ, first we're with The Deceiver, then we go to Tzeentch, now we fess up and try to work towards protecting Man? (although, arguably, we've been doing precisely that from the get-go)

First, how do you think the Lord Inquisitor will react? Will he even give a fuck what we have to say? Who's to say that he won't simply shoot us, forcing us to kill/devour him, making us possibly more fucked?

Yeah, saying to an Inquisitor we are inexorably contaminated with an alien device, and that demons AND alien gods have done dealings with us is sure a good idea.

And just after the man said he is a man of faith, and condemned pratical thinking and compromise.

What POSSIBLY can go wrong with that?

The devour soul option is retarded, obviously.

Acusing the tyrantine cabal of heresy would be a nice move, if we had any proof. "A demon told me" is almost as good an idea as telling everything.

If we can pull it out competently/safely, which I seriously doubt, I vote for acusing them of heresy. If not, stability in the sector.

Telling him everything is our best bet at getting an exterminatus dropped on our arses.

Fixed

Paragon option is unwise.

Renegade option is full retard.

'Sector stability' is meh.

'Accuse them cabalists of heresy', on the other hand, is the only way to go :thewitcher: :smug:

Yes, it's the 'meh' option but anything other would surely fuck us hard in the arse.

I don't think we have enough evidence to accuse the cabal of heresy, so I vote for least retarded option.

Root, take some mind shielding drugs or psychic bonnets. Else the chaos god BioWareius will make all your choices meaningless and all your dialog stupid.

Devour the Inquisitor? I'm not well-versed in the lore but shouldn't the Lord Inquisitor have some sort of protection or, I dunno, counter-attack against that? I mean, he must have some tricks up his sleeve, mustn't he.

I don't really like any of the options, but well,

"Stability is paramount throughouth the sector."

Both the Paragon and Renegade options are too retarded X-TREME for me.

I'm sure Caidin will be simply appalled that an Inquisition Cabal resorted to heresy to achieve its goals. Yeah, right.

Therefore, Stability in the Sector is paramount.

Also, Stability in the Sector is paramount

Took a good while to finally read from page 1 all the way to here, but now that I'm caught up with everything, I think I'll vote for Stability in the Sector is paramount.

However, if shit goes bad with our generally sane choice, *then* we should break out the Deceiver.

We allied Ourselves with KKKaos
let US be kkkaothic for once...

we tell Inquisitor that cabal are all heretics, that we had our suspisions for a loooong time and that recently they affirmed them. If we can bullshit talk him to belive us so beter but merly planting seed of doubt will be also good.

The lord obviously doesnt wanna play the extreme game and neither should we.

What are we even doing in his place? We should be doing the same thing we do every night - try to take over the world! The Empbrah is dead. Somebody gotta step up.

Gogogogo.

Gonna flip-flop and third this actually.

Still standing by my vote towards bringing the Deceiver out if stuff starts going down the toilet too.

So the moral of the above post is don't post drunk? Or is it don't post stupid :smug:?

Root, I salute you :salute: for persevering as GM for this awesome game, even though we are terrible retards sometimes.
