SUMMON DECEIVER!!!

Seriously though, I think the past two updates have been my favorites in the entire game so far. Excellent writing, 3108!

I'm thinking B - Tzeentch, we flip-flopped over to Kayoss so why not stick with it for a bit and see how well it works out for us compared to the Deceiver. Plus a legion of Chaos marines doesn't sound too bad.

For the emperor's sake, people! We've already flip flopped, and I doubt anyone's gonna trust us if we keep doing it for the rest of act 2.
But let's be honest here, both are equally untrustworthy, and if we don't put Magnus the Red on the throne then chances are The Deceiver will put some C'tan equivalent instead.
Overall, I'll go with the one with the legion of Chaos space Marines.

I'm going with A. Lord Hax is becoming something much more marvelous than a daemon prince.
This is a wonderful sentiment.

We will lose the chaos marines this is true, but I'd rather we use the guardsmen for we can trust them to follow our orders whatever they may be.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Awesome update. This gets better and better all the time Root :salute:

I love the way you portrait the Deceiver. I don't trust the fucker at all but he's better than chaos. With him at least you don't fall to serving stuff humanity own mind shat out long time ago.

I loved the verbal and intellectual duel between Hax + Nectoyr vs. Silas/Deceiver. Very well written, once again would make a perfect picture - Hax and Silas standing face to face in courtroom, with background of inquisition forces and some bolter bitches. All done in courtroom style pics but with darker palette. Drawfags report and do those pics! (Helfrich/Ahriman battle first though).

i asked that on hamachi but forget to ask it about here:

did any of guys sympathized with mr D? i tried to write him as a symphatetic character, would like to know if succeeded

i mean, chaos offers power but they're kinda condescending, Deceiver offers smiles and whores but not so much power.

I can see that, but the problem is that you're trying to make a character who's essentially Nyarlathotep into a sympathetic guy.
That and I don't trust a guy who's very, very, VERY well known for...well...deceiving people.

Holy fuck, Cain's pwnage of Kaffiq was simply excellent

"And if you help us, Lord Hax, we can rid you of your curse. We can make you a Daemon Prince of Tzeentch. Warmaster of Chaos! Think of the power that would be at your fingertips! And even if you do not wish that, we can still help you salvage what's left of the Imperium." Said Fateweaver's other head.

Haha, no.

That's right, you can call me a flipflopper extraordinaire, fuck you :M

A!!!!111111

also, Lord Inquisitor Caidin is now my favorite character in this LP.

I think you painted a pretty good picture of the Deceiver. He's a manipulative bastard, but he doesn't strike me as quite as evil as the other C'tan or Khayos, more mischievous and I suppose that makes sense since you want to connect him with the Laughing God.

Since I was against flipflopping to Chaos to begin with, I'd say we go back to the Deceiver's cold necrodermis embrace and see what we'll become. Daemon Prince is too mundane, we will transcend such petty forms.

The best thing in portrayal of the deceiver here is, in my opinion, that we can't figure out totally what he wants. It creates a feeling that no matter what we do, we can always be outmaneuvered. Because of that the last chapter of court proceedings is uber awesome - we definitely thrown some kind of spanner into his works. Hopefully while throwing even bigger one into Tzeentch.

C, say "fuck you" to the two of them and watch them kill each other. :P

But since that doesn't seem to be possible I vote to come back to the Deceiver, at least he saved our life twice, not the same can be said about Chaos.

By the way, was that a Biowhorean game, no matter what we did back on that trial I'm sure the outcome would be the same: A mortal combat against Zerbe's champion to prove our innocence.

I don't think it's biowareian choice. In the beginning of first chapter root posted several what would happen if you choose otherwise. Look them up.

We still don't know anything about the motives of either; however we obviously threw a wench in the Deceivers plan by flopping to Tzeentch.

Votan B. I flipflop consistently at least :M.

But why does the act end so quickly root?

Oh, root, by the way, what would've happened had we chosen to "call Witch-Hunter Vownus Kaede to the stand and force him to tell you and Lord Caidin about all that has transpired in your assassination attempt and in Dusk"?
