I hold this New Imperium in as much regard as I did the Tau.
Humanity shall not suffer the fate of this un-regressive non-distopian society. So, the RESISTANCE!

Are we turning our attention towards another race, or the void dragons?

EDIT: nevermind, I was wrong.

Me, I'm definitely digging Emperor II; he seems like a clear improvement over the original version. I'm sure there are horrible things about him we just don't know yet, but for now? P. cool guy. Anyway, he should focus on purging the Tyrant Swarm. The glorious new Emperor seems secure enough to plan for the long term,* and the 'Nids still look like the biggest long-term threat.

Would Magnus or any of the other traitor Primarchs turn away from Chaos so easily? Magnus is a full blown Daemon Prince after all. Granted he's a Daemon Prince of Tzeentch, but still... I'd say the "rebels" should be our second priority, something is afoot there and such powerful figures can't be ignored.

The Tyranids seem to be a more distant threat, for now. Also, I imagine that since the Imperium's ships don't really on Warp travel anymore that it's easier to respond to the threat when it appears.

I say ELDAR. One faggot race is out of the picture, now finish the job. Also, Vaul Fortress are bad news for C'tan so getting rid of it would be good.

Also, I don't see how VD eating souls of psykers is any worse than what happened to most of the psykers during the old regime. Don't forget that to support the Astronomicon thousands of souls were sacrificed each day, dieing slow and painful death. Those who didn't get fed to the furnace went through the excruciating trails to become a sanctioned psyker, an astropath, a librarian etc. Many didn't made it. And those who did were feared and despised by many in the society.

So, depending on the feeding habits of VD, getting ones soul eaten might be a much better fate than what could happen to them in the Imperium.

It would be nice to know what is the VD's Ultimate Plan For Humanity. It could be something bad or nasty. But from what root has written as to now, life's much better now than during the old management. I do hope that in spirit of 40k there will be no real good-guys here.

Whoops, completely misunderstood that. In that case, let's make this LP Orky.

It seems clear from Root's wording that he was asking about who the Void Dragon should focus on crushing, and it seems equally clear from some respondents' wording that they're answering about which faction they'd like to play next:

Would you like to turn your attention to:

Me, I'm definitely digging Emperor II; he seems like a clear improvement over the original version. I'm sure there are horrible things about him we just don't know yet, but for now? P. cool guy. as I explained, VD will focus on crushing them all. but this choice of 'turning your attention to it' means playing with the race for a while, then hopping to another one, and so on, until such a time comes that you decide which race you want to play with in the endgame, all the while having the New Imperium as the background.

that might change if it gets too confusing.

Great concept.

Basically if we like the New Imperium we'll do our best to pick the worst choices for that particular civilization.

Voting for Hive Fleets.

It's better to get tastefully raped by interesting consequences than to always get a good ending with biowareian pseudo-choices.

It is the Dawn of the 43rd Millenium.

Future historians shall look upon this Age and dub it...

The Void Dragon Age.

Oh, and I rather this style of gamey, root. We'll see how it pans down further down the road, though no matter what I can guess it's gonna be Awesome! :salute:

but...will there be romanceable characters?

You better let us fuck the Void Dragon, root. Fuck it in the ass with shitty porno music playing in the background while we grope its imperial robes off chastely but seductively. No skin though.

So.. interesting concept.. I would like to see the Eldar meet their end finally.. so then I vote..

To play with ORKZ for now, seems the most fun at the moment.

Also, Void Dragon seems to be doing a good job, reminds me a bit of The Culture.(iain m. banks)
