---C---.

The Imperium is too strong for us, for now, and the rebels are too scattered, hence, killing one would alert the others. Even if there's no logical explanaton to this, Root will screw us over. Or, come up with an explanation, and then screw us over.

Hence, let's make Zerbe talk and focus on the Tyranids.

Lets see what made Jeremiah worthy of replacing Abaddon. Plus I kinda want to see how the imperium will react when their mythological beasts of yore come to life.

is anyone surprised that eldar are scheming devious cunts that care for no-one other than themselves?

i'm again worried that i'm presenting choices that are almost unanimously voted, and what's more worrying, people are getting most choices right this time around. needs more polemics. i'm still trying to follow in barb's glorious footsteps, he was much better at dividing opinions than my own self.

suggestions, my dear readers? because the way it's going now, it's about to turn into fanfic fest pretty soon.

Don't worry about it just yet. This is just the appetizer, allow us to be mostly unanimous for a bit. People aren't being as vested into polemics because we know we won't be dwelling on one faction for long.

Once we get the main course started and we're locked down into a single faction, you just need to provide some really tough choices and watch the sparks fly. Bear in mind you've been constrained by the WH40k universe till now, and your tale is more of an adventure than empire-building. In some ways that makes some things easier to write, but it will also be more difficult for people to identify with a particular Astartes Chapter or a particular person rather than, say, a galactic republic named Codexia. When people play a single faction over a long period of time they will get more invested in that faction's survival. Don't pay too much heed to the pattern of voting on these small vignettes. The real test comes later, and so far you've done well in the lengthy chapters, so I don't see how it'd devolve into a fanfic fest.

Or are you saying you're planning to inflict Primarch gay sex scenes on us sometime in the near future?

First, A. No point in waiting for results of a genestealer interrogation. It's a part of the hive I doubt anything could be gained. Also, I want to stir some trouble for VD.

Second, whoever voted to trust the rainbowy fuckers deserves serious ass pounding :decline:

Third, root, you must have read the same books as I did recently. Please tell me, will there be any chair making in this LP?

flip flopping to this. Forgot about the Imperium being made ignorant, seeing what will happen to people who havnt seen demons for hundreds of years will be interesting
+ I bet no good will come from waiting, well end up missing our chance by hesitating long enough to get complicated in something worse

Anyway, the difference between Jeremiah and Abaddon is that the former is competent and willing to wait for the right moment to strike. I'm not convinced that this is it. A little more time might be all that is needed and also it might lead to the discovery of the Eldar so that mighty Slaanesh can claim his last souls.

oh, you know doombreed? i was hoping people would be more excited about having fucking genghis khan as their second-in-command, but I guess these fucking racists just don't care about mongolians.

I was going to mention this, but then I saw your post had a Skyrim quote and forgot. Filthy things.

I vote we scream "blood for the blood god" and then charge at the False Emperor.

No, really, I'm happy to have Genghis Khan Reborn at our side, and it'd be awesome to do to the Imperium what he did to Otrar. But currently there are two factions more powerful than us that both want to destroy the warp, either by eradicating all psykers (the False Emperor) or by eradicating everyone (the Nids). Both are bad news for the Great God, so let's allow them to mangle each other and then harry the stronger. C, wait until Cypher and Brokeeper 2.0 finish up with Zerbe.

Re: metacommentary, I think a fair amount of getting screwed over for no reason, or at least options that would lead to that, is necessary to maintain the integrity of the WH40K world. A major theme is that the galaxy is a horrible place, full of horrible things that want to do horrible shit, for reasons that appear unfathomable to us. Acting rationally won't always end well when there are 5+ other factions expecting you to act rationally and plotting your destruction on that basis. As for making choices more divisive, I agree with treave; I'd add only that hard choices tend to be a product of limited information, with evidence in support of each option offered to us. A complete lack of info leads to blind in-character decisions; an overabundance makes the choices trivial. We haven't been very clear on what's up with the galaxy during this intro, so creating hard choices while delivering exposition is tricky; presumably, it'll get easier once the groundwork is established.

The Broclusiarch is far more XTREME than Abaddon could ever hope to be. Remember how much of a hardcore bro he was in Act I where we decided to shun his awesomeness and become raging pussies instead? And now we're doing it again?

Bros, the Imperium hasn't seen demons in centuries. Doing this will allow us to strike fear in their hearts and fuck up their stable, insulated little bubble. Much like he did as a Space Marine, Jeremiah will acheive victory through zeal and determination.

I think it's about time...

To cause some chaos.

:yeah:

C. Let us engineer it so that the fools may believe that the Hive Fleet is the true threat here. Let them turn their back to face one alien foe, only to find our blades at their back.

Hm. I still really loathe Orcs, and I still want revenge over the eldar. And the Primarchs have started to intrigue me, even though I thought they were the lamest faction at the beginning.

So, viva la resistance!

---A---, for Eldar.
Maybe we'll be able to undo the shitstorm from the Eldar side.
