It is hard to argue that they will find the likely outcome of A desireable, even though they can be persuaded that way.
We aren't 'forcing' them, but to use one's naivety and perplexity in such a manner is not much better.
If we want to keep them, we might want to think ahead and consider what they will think about this whole affair after a week, when the dust settles.
