Why a reload? The toad demon essence makes Jing react ... differently to poison. I don't see why it would per se necessitate a reload.
We do have an eye patch, you know. That's beyond the strength of most critters small enough to be placed in our eye to move.It would also be awkward if they poked their heads out while you are making out with someone.
In the sense that stat upgrades are rare, yes, but we run into potential stealth upgrades for the Kuanglang Step just about the most frequently out of any of them. On the other hand, we've never seen any skill that allows us to command animals to do our bidding, and treave said that this would be much harder to come by than another stealth upgrade. And stealth upgrade for our Qinggong is rare.
Treave said that we could call on the animals to fling themselves out and attack, and mentioned worms when he did, so evidently it's not a problem of throwing these guys. That said, I'd be fine with just about any critter in there. Jing needs a pet!Considering the source of our neigong upgrade, wouldn't a toad be more fitting? A toad could also hurl itself out of Jing's eye socket under its own power (they do tend to be pretty good at hopping), as opposed to being plucked out and thrown.
Also, I get the feeling that high levels of Ruanhong combined with a decent qingqong would let us pull off spiderman webslinging moves.
Improving offense, improving defense, disabling enemies without killing them... hell, we could take to wrapping people up and hanging them from things Spiderman-style if Jing thinks it's amusing enough.
Qinggong upgrade that boosts AGI and Unarmed? We should make an effort to nab this at some point in the future if possible, especially if we're stilll interested in buddying up with Wudang. Combining that with the steel spidersilk technique (if we pick that one) would make Jing pretty terrifying. It would also be nice to learn some less-murderous Unarmed techniques, and Jing's pretty good at improvising together interesting new styles and techniques based on disparate techniques he's picked up from a variety of places. For example, you'd have been offered an upgrade that made Kuanglang Step increase agility and unarmed from Wudang had you completed that particular questline.
They are equally as rare as the other opportunities. You won't find the spider silk technique outside of the Wudu Cult, but you won't find a Qinggong technique that emphasizes stealth anywhere else either. Same with Reikan vs Kagemi - the only source of these is Yoriwaka. If you believe you can learn Kagemi later, why don't you think the same about Reikan?ScubaV said:I also agree that we seem to get a lot of opportunities to boost our stealth so I'm willing to sacrifice that for now.
treave, a question. Are you uncertain about what kind of character we want to play, or were you talking about the martial arts specifically? In other words, I have no fucking idea what build you guys are going for.
Anything to drive BJ even more crazy after our inevitable death!Inb4 flopping for Man-tiger-spider-pig-toad-pokemon.
That will take place soon after this side-quest concludes.
Pertinent questions. On the subject of the spidersilk technique being "relying on the Wudu Cult’s specially treated spider silk", I assume they're going to teach us how to prepare it ourselves? If we're dependent on them every time we want to get more then the technique's utility diminishes somewhat. I imagine we'll be horribly killed if we pass on their secret techniques without permission, but that's standard for sharing trade secrets from a group of unorthodox professional killers.
On the subject of using it against the Fire Cult, how resistant is this steel-silk to being burned away? What sort of skills would be necessarity to make it more fire-resistant? Would Xiahou Yu, Cao'er, or Chi Qilin have the necessary knowhow to do this?

I would appreciate more unorthodox moves that would catch our opponents off-guard, though, without being utterly dishonorable (and thus getting in the way of GLORY). How well does a web technique translate into boosting offensive or defensive capabilities, as the description suggests?

Considering the next one would be Shun, I hope we don't make a habit of it.if we are going to make a habit of stealing emperors.
