Charge Blade can't catch a break, can it? Every installment MH team tries to revamp what 4U had already perfected.
-From Beta 1 to Beta 2, they fixed the charged double slash combo so it's easier to pull off.

-I think the fastest SAED now is from guard point combo. It encourages more use of guard points, if for some reason you weren't doing them before. Most times if you're doing an AED-SAED combo the SAED will not be optimally targeted, not to mention it's very hard to line up two combos on a non-incapacitated monster.

-Guard points seem easier than ever.

-Savage axe on wounds feels fine. Having dedicated savage axe mode cluttered up the moveset too much before, now it feels like it has a purpose.

-Charged sword seems to cause more flinching now

-You can double-charge phials now. I have no idea what it does, but it must be good right?

Yeah, I noticed that GP -> SAED was the fastest one and I have no qualms about that. I just think the stationary AED -> SAED is too cumbersome when you just want to attack an immobile target (sleeping, paralyzed etc). Unnecessary change and doesn't flow well enough.

Don't care for Savage Axe so cannot comment much on its improvements.

I hate that Capcom insists on including that damn fog, unfortunately since they designed the game around using that fog it looks terrible when you turn it off completely

Save that for when we are playing the release build. Optimization is the #1 thing Capcom was working on between the previous beta and now, even above the weapon balance changes. Though if you are still having problems with the Benchmark test, sadly not much is going to change. Gonna have to fiddle with the .cfg files.

Tomorrow reviews are dropping.

They can't really fix RE Engine issues with so little time. DD2 was released last year with same problems so engine team at least by now should be able to come up with sollution if this was some minor issue.

Imho it's engine architecture. RE Engine was build for small games and in that format it is one of the best optimized engine out there. But it doesn't seem to scale well with big worlds.

DF made video about wilds. Yeah rised blacks all over the place and crushed highlights which is why it looks so washed out. It has nothing to do with volumetric lighting. It's their stylistic choice for some insane reason. They showed screen from game that is using full REC2020 palette and it looks waaaaaay better.

Weirdly even HDR doesn't fix it.

First mod i am installing will be mod to fix palette.
Second one will be to find annoying monster and swap it's roar to this.
Third will be probably RE framework which should have hidden Path Tracing just like in Dragon's Dogma 2.

You still think it looks desaturated? As I said before, the environments are supposed to look washed out during the dry season/Fallow, during the other seasons they are exploding with color. The most egregious example I see is the Oilwell Basin during the Fallow which I admit looks way too grey and black. Obviously, it's ultimately your choice what graphical tweaks you choose to use. Also, what are "crushed highlights"?

Is there already a monster with an annoying roar?

It's not that i "think" it looks desaturated. It's that it "is" desaturated. Also desaturated isn't the right word here as colors in the medium band (aka not close to black and not close to white) are fine. The problem comes in dark scenes or in scenes where there are highlights (think light coming through trees, or light coming through hole in ceiling.

DF run their gameplay via vegas pro to check their findings and yeah it has crushed black as hell (which sometimes happens with some releases like Diablo 4) but weirdly it has also crushed highlights, meaning that sun that should be white is instead something more akin to gray.

here is from DF video scene from lush forest on the left is original shoot from game and on right is corrected how it should look like with normal blacks and proper highlights:
