Weapon damage stays the same regardless of aptitude. However, to get the most out of tech items, you need high tech aptitude. You also need high tech aptitude to hit creatures that are magickal or have high magick aptitude.what are good options for low tech aptitude gunslinger? Im aware that Ill be dealing abyssmal dmg to magical critters, which is almost everything, even undeads will be annoying.
How does it function exactly, is it my dmg that is lowered? Is it just physical? Can I go around it by using tesla rod or trans gun?
Background: trying to make tempus faggit gunslinger, my tech aptitude will be low until much later in the game. Would try even going half tech/magic gear early on, my understanding is that guns are fine as long as my aptitude is 0 or lower

I mean the very first creature on that list is 50% resistant to electricity.
