How so? I've never had performance issues, even on my old pc.Hopefully they've optimised the engine better as well. M&B and Warband were not particularly well optimised.

The engine didn't count on high volumes or high resolutions being used. If you look at the native assets, there aren't that many and they're pretty tiny. Learning how to optimize graphics was crucial when we made TLD, since we had several times more items and assets than native.
(MnB even had an item limit, believe it or not, which we overshot by like a 100 and had to strip down. This cap was removed in Warband, which also added a Load Textures on Demand functionality. It's pretty good now actually, for a game that old.)
TLD is excellent. One of my top three M&B mods along with 1866 and Silverstag. So good job....crucial when we made TLD...
Now here's the full presentation with better quality:
I hope they can mod some blood and gore in.TL;DR - Modding capabilities will be greatly expanded in the engine even surpassing warband.

Original MnB beta was pretty playable, I bought it for like 2$ back in 0.619 and gameplay differed only marginally from the release version, it took them a lot to tweak campaing modeSo beta in 2017 and release in 2019.
It would be nice if more troops would wear uniforms so that you could tell them apart without the icons.
