I committed Sudoku. After 333 minutes I wondered why I wasted so long when I had to cook and go for groceries for weekend. But it was solved.

I also played HoI4 Japan vs whole world. I screamed Germany don't fall apart against Russia. And then US UK and Russia defeated Germany. And then I remembered that Russia is in war with allies, and I could simply stay out of the war and quickly attack South America to get base to attack US.

Then I managed to get Russia as fashist supervised state with majority of it important territory. And I had to continue the war against allies in Europe to keep Russia alive. Fight war against allies in Siam who tried to conquer Siam and get Singapore back. Fight against allies in DEI because they tried to reconquer it. Conquer Hawaii. Luckily I conquered NZ before I defeated Russia so it was safe. Fight against allies that tried to push trough Burma into China. Luckily Shanxi was allied and they kinda fought back, though mainly in Europe. Shanxi and Japan had some disagreement with nationalist Chinese, and Japan said to Shanxi "hop in" and Shanxi agreed and to everyone surprise it stayed.
Conquering Peru, Chile, oil paradise, Panama, Mexico who tried hispanic alliance fought against US and lost. And then fighting in both US and in Europe.

Frankly Paradox developers are like mentally disabled. They let UK AI to stay on these INITIAL carriers, and US is basically not producing any battleships or carriers even when US CAN.

And that how a naval battle result looks like. I'd like to see replay of big naval combats, but...

I also played UBOAT... until I got bug where I couldn't dive and then I deleted directory. I think it was caused by a rare race condition they stored in save files.
Another problem that game has is that even Falcon 3.0 had dynamic battlefield. Frankly if they don't have clue how to create dynamic war where sub actions of player would alter the war a bit, few years ago I could design and program something. Nowadays I should spend time by writing complains to government.

Also they should simulate stuff in UBOAT. WTF is that stuff with eternally fresh bread, or food loading times. And why is fuel loading time instant? And why some torpedoes are for points and other not? And considering you are staring at the same crew members for over year, the game needs detailed simulation of skills and attributes of crew members to actually feel like real crew members and when they get killed to regret that deeply, and in winning the game a nice screen about their fate after war.

C'mon UBOAT NEEEDS some PASSION from developers.

Aliens Dark Descent
Never played that, and played suboptimally on purpose in the beginning. They are murdering me quite well.

I should replay Shogun 2, or some new stuff.

What's your opinion on SW: Outlaws?

Well, it unironically feels like a game that was aimed at me. I grew up with OT Star Wars and was a huge fan, I like open world games - generally speaking, and I'm not often offended by female protagonists (cf. Princess Leia).

That being said, it does have a few irritating or weak points, though I think some are things that are things that can take some getting used to such as keyboard and mouse controls are pretty good, but you might have to tweak some of the sensitivity values and whether or not you want mouse control for things like speeder steering to suit your preferences, but before you get used to it and tweak things in a way that suits you, it might irritate the shit out of you and feel janky af.

There are actual bugs that I assume will be patched out if they haven't already such as enemies spawning on top of one another like has been shown in some of those glitch laugh reels. I think that has something to do with reloading, like if you get caught on a stealth scenario and kicked out, then the area reloads. I think it does something like spawns new enemies without despawning the old ones. Not sure if it still happens, but it is a thing that was happening.

All that aside, if you are into a game that's more about being immersive in a Star Wars galaxy, I think it's something you'd enjoy. If you're more into gamey things such that it'll piss you off if they're not there, then maybe not or at least wait for discounts. For instance, Kay (the PC) sneaks a lot and doesn't have many abilities because she's a Star Wars protagonist scoundrel and therefore isn't a villain, or crazy, doesn't gun down random people just because, and is fairly grounded with abilities that are similar to what you might see in a Star Wars movie.

Her progression is mostly about getting new gadgets or tweaking her ship, speeder, and general loadout. However, like Han Solo, though she might do something like modify her blaster, she's not going to go all Doom guy and start picking up rocket launchers and blaster rifles and shit. She might grab something someone drops, then use it for a bit and then it'll get dumped pretty quickly after, just like the only time you see Han Solo use anything other than his DL-44 is for a bit in ANH on the Death Star, and that bit in TFA where he uses Chewie's bowcaster.

There is no XP system or anything like that, progression is based on making contacts, building or losing reputation with factions, finding stuff, and modifying it. Minigames like arcade games, gambling on races, playing cards, etc. are all nicely done and I even like the lockpicking and slicing minigames. It basically feels like being on a Star Wars adventure with your lizard dog buddy.

If that sounds appealing to you, I recommend the game as a Star Wars fan. If it doesn't, then maybe not. I kicked in for the expensive early access edition and haven't regretted it at all, fwiw.

EDIT: Oh I forgot to add: there are various ways to approach different scenarios and how NPCs react to you is dependant on your faction reputation. It's fairly easy to game, mind you, but still it's a nice touch. It's more of an Uncharted style action adventure with a few immersive sim elements than anything. I'd love to see these guys do a sequel and maybe dial up some of the shooting elements like from the Division games or something.

That does sound good. Playing a squishy character instead of a Jedi or Sith is far more interesting, imho. I don't care about the sex/race of the protag; gameplay is king. I'll put it on the to-do list. Thanks!

Jagged Alliance 3: Finished it off. Good game. Just enough issues JA4 could fix and be perfect for it
Tales of Vesperia: Also working on finishing it off. Final dungeon is taking forever.
Ion Fury: Turned it on briefly for testing.

I'm not offended by female protagonists either, but what I am offended by is that god damn hair style of hers. What in a flying fuck is that? Looks like some weird shit from 70's disco era.

I played just a bit of Door Kickers 2. I like the idea of the game even though I tend not to enjoy playing Early Access titles.

You watched the original movies, right?

Nevermind the neon bar sign aesthetic of the game's title logo. It's clearly a thing they leaned into.

Yeah, I can accept the hair because I know it's part of that '70s style of the OT. But the color... With skin that dark and Mexican features, the hair should be darker.

You always have the most bizarre criticisms, they crack me up. Anyway, sure. Ask for a hair dye/dye remover DLC or something. I don't know.

Leisure Suit Larry 7 Love For Sail - excellent game, definitely in the top 10 best adventure games of all time
Doom 1 and 2 - I usually only replay 1 but this time I made an exception. I also started Plutonia and made it like 2/3 of the way but fuck that expansion pack tbh
Nox - I picked the wizard since I never played that class before but unfortunately I got a game breaking bug midway thorough so I couldn't finish it
VenusBlood Gaia - haven't finished it yet, I'm about halfway through, but so far I'm enjoying it more than Frontier
Rance 5D - I don't understand the hate, I think it's an ok game
STALKER: SOC - still haven't finished it yet, I'm still trying to muster the courage to go inside those X labs, brr.....
Record of Lodoss War-Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth- - nice and relaxing metroidvania with beautiful animated spritework

Had my eye on those games for some time and finally got around to give em a try. They are all ok but no stand out titles.
