evdk needs reinforcements
calling all able-bodied men to track down idiocy and fight it with words and fire

I have to replenish my sanity, have taken too many insanity hits, but I might make sneak attack on Merin the Master Novelist.

Edit: couldn't resist the temptation to reply :retarded:

Me: BG didn't have a lot of healing supplies.
This guy: Wrong! BG 2 has a ton of healing supplies!

BG and BG2 both had tons of healing supplies. They were just mostly useless in battle in both games.

Well, duh. They were meant to heal you in-between battles (instead of resting) if you wanted to play P&P-style. But the point was this: when I say that the CLW potions in BG 1 were useless in battle you can't counter that by saying "But BG 2 had a lot of healing items that were much stronger!" because that only applies to BG 2, not 1.

Student detected. I am 25, play on a laptop and on the bed or the table that came with my furnished appt. Can't afford a gaming PC or get a good table/chair combo because I keep moving.

Are you referring to me, that Wolfentir fellow, or perhaps yourself? I graduated years ago, am 29, and am comfortably employed. That's all grown up, more-or-less. The average college student is anything but.

"Mommy, wow! I'm a big kid now!"

Me and probably him.

Stun is gifted individual, I remember him from the world reactivity thread, valiantly defending lack of timed quests by claiming that leaving somebody in a burning building while he goes potion shopping should not result in said persons death. Oh yeah.

Huh? I was applauding their uselessness. Which pervades into BG2. So your opponent is a double-retard; not only is the argument invalid, it would be wrong even if it weren't.

Me and probably him.

I got the same impression, but it was silly of him to use the term "grown up."

I've actually had my own desktop since age 18, since I joined the military out of high school and it's fairly easy to afford when you have no expenses to speak of. I now have a laptop too, and an iMac in addition to a gaming rig, so I supose I'm spoiled.

I'm a construction site manager. This is all beside the point, though. Being poor or a student or enjoying one's couch and laptops are all invalid reasons to want a consolized control scheme in PE.

Side note: Japanese developers seem to have learned to create sophisticated menu-based systems for use with a controller, but not a single Western developer has ever pulled it off. Firaxis couldn't manage it with XCOM, for example. The control scheme for that game is awkward and shitty, and so is the camera, even WITH a console controller.

Lol, I apparently got into Merin's ignorelist for trolling after I threw this in romance thread:
I said I wouldn't reply anymore but you know what? I lied.

Too long post, too many points, give him 2-3 points max with just couple sentences so he can answer them.

I guess I should feel special but there are probably so many of us on that list.

Nothing can top Merin, he's apparently an author, stating that people's posts are too long to read.

Oh. So it's kind of like when you walk your dog and hope he doesn't shit on your neighbours front lawn.
