This game is like TF2, and I don't see what makes it worse than TF2.
The gameplay seems to be focused on using special abilities rather than shooting. It's like a first person game for people who can't aim.

There are probably a lot of people out there who like the idea of a multiplayer FPS but aren't able to enjoy any of them because they can't shoot for shit. That's the target market for Overwatch.
Ok, that is true but there are characters that are of higher skill ceiling and those of lower. And that is OK because it will bring in more different players and everyone can find a character they enjoy.

Well I think the mods should replace your possibly retarded tag with the dumbfuck one as there is no doubt now that you are a fucking retard.

Allow me to elaborate, in TF2 and in any ASSFAGGOTS game, that's Aeon of Strife Styled Fortress Assault Game Going On Two Sides for you, what typically happens there's some OP abilities and characters. Sometimes there's a way to counter it by getting gud other times you might as well do the same OP thing as the other guy, that shit is annoying. Since the majority of the fanbase are plebs and refuse to recognize the differences between which type of OP they'll just bitch in the official forums until said OP character/weapon/abilities gets nerfed so they can continue their casual ways without getting their shit kicked in. This results in some bland boring frustrating shit. To think that type of shit won't happen for this game is downright idiotic.

Then don't use skill when referring to reflex.Everybody have reflexes, what set's people apart in every twitchy activity is training and knowledge. All goalkeepers in soccer for example have great reflexes ,but the best have better "skill" that has little to do with actual reflexes(some legends actually had mediocre physical abilities) and more with predictability, that you claimed had little to do with skill, which is simply not true.Like the old saying greatness is 10% talent 90% work.
Bad analogy as professional sports have many factors to skill aside from reflexes. Playing computer games generally does not.

Mental skills matter too of course, but mainly in contests between opponents of nearly equal twitch skill.
This is false in every fps game I played online (quakes, uts, tribes, cs). After a basic level of aim/movement the "mental skills" are way more important.

But then again this is the forum where people appreciate shit visibility in online fps for "immersun". Wouldn't be surprised if reaching that basic level was a problem for some.

I'd just like to point out that we have an idiot here complaining about poor visibility of enemies in a game where enemies have indicators and health bars above their heads.

You fail at reading quite spectacularly. Where did I complain Overwatch has poor visibility?

What is this about visibility anyway? gun models? FOV? Solid textures plastered on level geometry and walking hitboxes?

So I'm in duh baytuh. Not only are they charging $40 or whatever for this but there are also loot boxes and currency (which I'm sure they'll make available for cash). So you gotta pay for the game upfront, and then it has cosmetic microtransactions. Awesome.

True. Only Blizzard seems to be able to get away with it, though. Gameplay-wise it's still the same casualized TF2 I experienced back during that stress test or whatever it was. Also annoying that they make you watch kill-cams and 'play of the game' constantly. Matches are also fairly short compared to most other online FPS... at least the ones I've played.

Yeah. The play of the game thing is funny since most of the time is just one guy popping his ultimate on unsuspecting people.

The funny part is you don't lose your ultimate charge on death so there's no penalty there (unlike Medic uber/kritz in TF2).

LOL, it really is an FPS made for bad players. No matter how much you suck your ultimate will eventually power up and you'll be able to get a kill or two when you use it.

The game is 60€ when I check it in the battle.net launcher.

The game by itself is worth 15 at most(if you like trashy console shooters). Add in the microtransactions and it should be no more than 10. Oh well, Blizzard could get away with murder in this industry.

Should be just right for you then seeing how you fail to realize the game is objective based and not a TDM.

Haha. 90% of FPS players don't care about the objective, they only want to fight other players and the objective just serves as a useful gathering point.

You need that in your game, most people don't have fun getting completely owned (the way it happens in 1v1 quake/ut if there's a bit of skill difference).

From what I saw on twitch the skill cap seems quite high and at higher levels of play you can't just randomly pop your ultimate. The game looked quite fast and twitchy, definitely not some console snooze fest (or it could be the streamers prefer flashy heroes).
The competitive game I watched seemed interesting though terrible to follow (I guess the spectator UI is hard to use or smthing).

This would be a great game to enable crossplay btw, to show the peasants their place. Doubt it will happen though.

Just git gud for fuck's sake. You can just put a system of tiers to separate the pros from the rest of the scrubs. Quake Live had one back then when i played it (it probably still does but fuck if i care) and it worked well enough. Aside for that, you don't need anything else. The whole point of an e-sport game is the competition. If player skill doesn't matter why bother?

The base game costs 40,the special edition with extra skins and other crap is at 60

The only good thing that came out of Overwatch was the new SFM porn. The scene needed new meat to work with :smug:
