Okay, I've just leveled up and I'm fairly certain this is the last level up I'm going to have. I get one Level 9 spell for my sorcerer and I can't decide between Weird and Mass Icy Prison. Which will be more useful?
What, are they both dogshit or are they already useless at the end? I ask because these two spells were recommended as must-have for the HATEOT, although I've managed to get this far without them.
Thus far Mass Icy Prison appears to be utter dogshit, high Evocation DC or no, the Wild Hunt just shrug it off.
Also, either the encounter design is horrible or I really fucked up my party because the mooks in the basement dungeon of dimension whatever keep spanking my shit. I really think I either go upstairs and respec my entire group with Anoriel or just give up right now. Every fight is like a bossfight, I have to go in fully prepped and I have only enough camping supplies for one more rest and I don't think Issia or whoever the fuck is selling that or any actual useful items.

Even with a dogshit build and utter incompetence on my part, I should be able to complete it on normal.
Sirocco seems to be working much better with the Wild Hunt, I think I'll stick to that and only occasionally try Mass Icy Prison
Perhaps Weird would have been better, I seem to recall that the Wild Hunt have some paralysis immunity so that might be why they are not getting the full effect from MIP. It's a little trickier to get Weird up to a decent DC, but since you are playing on Normal it should still be effective.

Wild hunt have insanely high reflex saves and crap fortitude & will. A reflex-based Icy Prison is a terrible choice. On the other hand, an illusionist wizard geared for high DC can wipe entire rooms of wild hunt scouts with a single Weird on a lucky roll.
If you can't finish KM on normal with standard 1-20 builds then you either have some huge gap in your party (like no divine spells) or aren't buffing. A properly buffed party (and I'm not even considering special stuff like alchemist with infusion) should roll over 95% of fights on normal
They make reflex saves most often.
It still kind of works, not all of them can make the save, though all of them seem to be completely immune to the damage effect.
Also Okbo has become completely fucking useless unless I cast Remove Fear on him.
Okay, Issia has camping supplies and spell casting supplies but doesn't have all that many divine scrolls which grinds my gears. I'm slowly but surely starting to run out of Mass Heal scrolls, I've already basically run out of Heal scrolls. Also my backlog of health potions is running out too, I've been using them to heal up after battles.
One more thing: Am I correct in assuming that all the cooking ingredients that I've managed to get during the game is now basically useless and I can safely sell them off?

Yeah now that I think about it, I was using Mass Icy Prison for other stuff, not the Wild Hunt. Weird is pretty much the ideal spell to deal with them.
So I've found everything, including the Briar and I've cleared the whole damn place aside from Nyrissa's encounter room... and one other room on the second floor which I have no idea how to open. From what I've read it's some really convoluted fuckery with the mists in the basement to get to that room, I'm not sure I have the patience for that, though for a Cloak of Resistance +6, it might just be worth it.

The mists are simpler then you would expect at first. Most of them just work as a switch between the two versions of the location and a select few teleport you to a new area instead. There's no "walk through multiple mists in a correct order" puzzle.
Holy shit, was the Nyrissa fight fucking pathetic. In RTwP, I just rushed her and she died almost instantly. This is also one of the few fights that's harder in Turn-Based mode, although everything depends on your save against her first Wail of the Banshee.
Still, it's fucking disappointing. Once again, the actual boss is substantially easier than the mooks in the rest of the dungeon. This is even worse than Vordakai.
Okay, I apparently finished the game by accident. I decided to let Nyrissa go and be forgiven which ended the game prematurely and the Lantern King got what he wanted. I suppose that's the downside of playing a merciful Neutral Good character and always choosing the nice option. Apparently my romance score is also not high enough to begin with so I can't give her the Briar, not that I'm really interested in romancing her anyhow, even though I generally chose dialogue options with her that weren't overly hostile and I even got the special storybook sequence in her dream. Is there any way to check the romance score? Like through a save game editor or console or some shit?
I feel like allying with her as she is is kind of an evil aligned thing to do so I guess killing her is the best option now, although I guess that's also depriving myself of an ally against the Lantern King. Although with how pathetic she was I think she won't be of much use anyway.

Actually all the story tries to tell you that she act "evily" but she wasn't that bad before she get involved in Lantern King games. That's why you can try to "redeem" her.

Yeah this is the entire game in a nutshell, Owlcat spam tons of copy paste enemies and then the fucking boss dies in 3 hits
I gave up trying to fix it, only method I can see that will genuinely work is diving into the game files and modifying specific units so that they and only they have more HP
