Oh dear god no

It could happen.
Remember how someone said that Microsoft is going to build Netflix for games and Steam will die?
It's already happening.
You got a source on that? First time I've heard it
Alright, I found this:

https://www.businessinsider.com/microsoft-ceo-satya-nadella-xbox-netflix-for-games-2019-1

It's just cloud streaming for games. No way in hell this will replace Steam.

I think that what they say is realistic for the future. Think about it. You won't need a PC/console, you won't need to buy games - you will just need a screen and a subscription on a service to play anything you want anytime. Nothing better than games to be tracked, analysed and train ML ads. And most games will get developed around that premise...

eta on turn-based mode patch?

People often edge about Arcanum's combination of RTwP and turn-based but it's pretty much the best system for these kinds of games. You can leave the real time mode on when you're facerolling a bunch of rats to save time, but go into turn based when needed.

Arcanum's combat was a terrible, shallow system. I loved most other things about that game, but the combat was just a tedious roadblock.

they'll have to find a way around the pesky speed of light problem
https://hpbn.co/primer-on-latency-and-bandwidth/#speed-of-light-and-propagation-latency

40ms latency on pressing a button and getting feedback would be unplayable on games not designed for online play with latency hiding techniques

Nah, speed of light is only problematic in interstellar travel - local centers are an easy solution in this case and MS is already investing in them. Infastructure still lags behind though.

Oh and to stay on topic, here is my balanced solo lvl 14 necromancer. Still has a long way to go.

Sometimes you run into one of those fights where you can feel it was done by a sadistic designer. 10 high level rogue ghosts with crazy high Ref save and evasion. You cannot nuke them, they are immune to necro and enchantment spells and they are fast and surround targets, debilitate them and sneak attack them to 0 health fast... not to mention ghosts take half damage from all damage sources and are immune to non magical weapons (which includes many Kineticist blasts).
Thank god one of the tricks still worked. Summon lots of shit and confuse the AI while you take them down one by one with single target non reflex save attacks.

I hope you are using Extend spell wands when summoning these dudes, it is a shame to have them disappear after only 1.5 minutes. Also extend metamagic and empower metamagic so you can put them into higher level slots as well. Empower should also summon more of them since number you get is a random number and Empower (at least in PnP) works with increasing all random numbers.

Of course! By the time I get to 20ish, I will have the create undead spell in 4 different spell levels. At 4th (normal), 6th empowered, 7th (maximized), 9th (max+emp). Even at 9th they will be worth casting (always summons 1d4+2 = 6 (max) + 6/2 (emp) = 9 skeletons). They are pretty good for tanking anything, even if it one shots them because of their sheer numbers, they are immune to clouds and cold damage so I can nuke debuff the enemies without care. Not worth using extend on them in late game but it is worth using it on the 7th level create undead spell for grave knighs. Graveknights have constitution though for some reason and they aren't immune to cloudkill, probably game oversight :(
Pure necro is a blast overall!

You're incorrectly assuming that most players actually open their spellbooks or even have wizards in party.
Full fledged retards will always complain no matter what. You can't fix stupidity. Just have to read the Steam forums for plenty of examples of idiots beyond all hope.

A few hours in and I don't get all the complaints about difficulty. I'm playing on medium (with permadeath disabled, because fuck that) and find most fights easy. Just died for the first time fighting the Ethnic League faggets that took a party member as a slave. Loaded and completely curbstomped them.

Maybe it's because the last RPG I played was D:OS2 on the ultra-retarded Tactitian mode where everything has a billion HP and has forcefields around it, and you die like 10 times in every fight but combat here seems pretty reasonable.
I said that already - the difficulty has been greatly exaggerated even here on the Codex. Hard is only hard during chapter 1 and early chapter 2, challenging is challenging only in chapter 1, everything below is just roflstompy easy.
Unfair is immense pain early on but once you manage to get to ~10th level or so it also normalizes and is no longer much of a big deal.

The light is from the spot I was shooting from, and it never goes away. Any tips on how to get rid of this, bros? I found only a few mentions on the net, doesn't seem like everyone playing the eldritch archer has this problem.
With my EA I always had that and when I gave Ekun EA levels he also produced that effect. I don't even know if this is acknowledged as a bug or intentional. It is annyoing.

I also have a necro wizard but I went more for debuffing with enervate and killing with spells. If I get two extra feats I might pick up some of the summoning feats.
One problem with summoning is that they are not considered allied and you cannot buff them with Haste or other AoE buffs. Also the screen is so full of stuff and stuff popping above their heads you cannot see anything that is going on anymore.

You can totally nuke them even without being specialist nuker with sirocco as well as some non obvious spells like sonic shout group (they target fortitude and actually hard CC ghosts) and they take full damage from Force, so force bombs should kill them as well as Undeath to Death. I even did damage to them with stuff like firestorms or something similar and Evoker Flame Wall is alright too. Not sure if cleric can overcome their DC with Blade Barrier but that is also Force.

F11 and report that as bug to devs. They only fix shit that people report to them, I don't think they got anyone testing the game or patches anymore.

I killed them in the end by spamming Channel Energy with Tristian and my paladin. I don't use Alchemist and I never needed Undeath to Death so far so I don't keep it prepared. I didn't try Sirocco as my summon shit and use Channel Energy tactic worked. Sirocco is usually what I try once I don't have other options :D
And now with access to Deadly Earth with Kalikke only stuff immune to non magical attacks can even live long enough to provide any challenge. Deadly Earth is completely OP. I did try some Flame Strikes and shit, they all saved (and Tristian has spell focus evocation and both Elemental Focus Fire feats).

Now that I think about it, Tristian had Mass Heal prepared so I probably could have tried to use that one. I guess I will try that next time I run into a big bunch of ghosts (I expect chapter 6 and 7 dungeons will have them).

Augmented and superior summoning feats don't work on create undead spells because they are not conjuration. But create undead spells are much better anyway because the summonings stack, unlike conjuration spells.

Also I'd definitely suggest a sorcerer instead. If you are going pure necro, you can't go wrong with spell selection and won't ever need anything else. He is also more flexible in battle - you can spam a ton of enervations/skeletons/etc depending on the course of the battle. Undead bloodline's damage reduction is also great with vampiric shield - you can tank and even heal by any fast hitting mobs like manticores, wyverns, hydras, worgs, smilodons etc.

Too late now to start over, that campaign is already up to Varnhold chapter. Went full Necro by picking Thassilonian specialist Necro. I got lots of spell slots to cast shit and I can restore one with Bonded Object.

Finished the game at chapter 6 with level 19 party. Will reload and try chapter 7 tomorrow. Nyrissa went down in like 5 seconds... Wild Hunt encounter is still annoying but it's gotten so much easier - normal difficulty feels like story-mode prior to the patch 1.2.

Did anyone finished the game with Kalikke and Kanerah?

I didn't get any more quest since their forefather sent soul eaters after Kalikke and force me to make a choice between Kanerah and Sweet tooth. Just ran into both at Nyrissa's castle and that was about it. Very anti-climatic.

Honestly, all this TB-mode supporters started to behave EXACTLY like LGBT on Codex (and even on steam!). They rant in every game topic how devs should remake it to their liking, no matter costs, loe waste, devs vision etc.
Which is kinda funny if you know that their exemplary Dumpsterfire was nominated for LGBT-support-in-media reward not so long ago.

Fuck artistic vision, just make good games PLEASE!! Dungeons and Dragons Pathfinder is meant to be played turn based, the spells, the abilities, everything is designed with a turn based environment in mind.

Edit: An btw, I am pretty sure the team who actually made the the game would have preferred to make it turn based but then an investor came and said turn based was too nerdy and that it had to be rtwp so it would be more accesible and there went actual artistic integrity, down the sink hole.
