Better to not talk about it because we don't want them to spend time working on it rather than the bugs.
What, are Oleg and Alex lurking this thread?

I'd go so far as to say that it is shaping up to be the biggest "what could have been" of 2018.
I was wondering why the Steam Store page said they were influenced by Arcanum...

I'm just kind of amazed at the amount of content and "stuff" they managed to cram into this thing. Lore books galore, new events in kingdom management all the time including new projects, region upgrades, cool little side upgrades you can make, new buildings that give oddball bonuses like the brothel or black market. Just a lot of interesting little things they keep throwing at you chapter after chapter. I'm in between Act 4 and 5 and it's been a joy, exploring the little side maps for loot and interesting encounters, finding cool loot and stuff to pillage and keeping the kingdom above water while making it better too. I just upgraded to horse-riding ability which I thought was amazing, 20% move speed bonus on the map. Lots of little details added in the game keep it interesting, and there's just tons of content.
Just becareful of attributing to Owlcat what was already in the original Pathfinder modules.

The amount they were able to implement and fit into the game is impressive, regardless. I thought you didn't like Paizo fanboys?

Well it's based on the module. I'm just amazed at how much they managed to implement from it. It's like there's a surprise around every corner and just when you think you've seen it all, yeah right, think again there's a million more things they show you. The module must be great but kudos to Owlcat for actually implementing as much as they did.

Seriously impressive for less than a million on Kickstarter. It flew under my radar and I'm just blown away. 400+ hours according to Steam and I'm only on my second run, which is already over a hundred hours and I haven't reached Chapter 5 yet. And it's all fun and engaging stuff.

Don't like someone is no reason not to be civil towards them, something that fanbois and SJWs alike refuse to learn because they are so polarised and mentally stunted.

So why not be civil and give those commie Slavs at Owlcat credit for doing an impressive job implementing that content?

The bug singularity is what prevents me from doing that. You don't give kudos to something badly or sloppily done. I won't even go into the steaming pile of horse manure that is the implementation of things like flanking and sneak attack.

Like I said, my initial playthrough of Deadfire was buggier (until I set it aside until it was patched up, because it was too easy). Most of the content is implemented pretty well.
Melee flanking works fine in practice, it would otherwise be too finicky given the rest of combat.
Caster Sneak Attacks should be nerfed, sure.

The Autumn sale gave Kingmaker a nice boost to its review score. Not as good as Deadfire (95% overwhelmingly positive), but it went from 57% mixed to 70% mostly positive.

I actually checked this. And. Its true. 94% positive.
This is such bland, banal shit boring game. With zero innovation and piratey teme done wrong.

What is wrong with people?

It's a great game that has improved a lot since release. The codex will never admit it because of strong anti-obsidian sentiments.

I'm glad the kingdom management works better now. Lots of events that never popped up before. Still, some of those projects take a tad too long. 60 days, really??

And here an image from the coronation of my new play-through, a crusader Aassimar.

Look at the banner behind Lady Jamandi, you can see her shadow cast by the light halo on it, at first I was amazed at the level of realism, and then I thought it better and was appalled. Do we really need something so small such as this to have all the shadows it casts calculated in an isometric cRPG? With stuff like this, it is no wonder the game has such high requirements and runs so poorly even on modern systems.

Am I right to assume it's best to wait for moar patches before buying?
Or did the new patch change anything fundamental for the better?

Buy it, play it, enjoy it. The game is perfectly fun and playable in its current state. I'll quote myself from a few pages back in the thread.

Start playing it! You've probably got a good 60-80 hours that is completely playable and fun as hell. They'll probably get a lot of the other stuff patched up nicely while you're playing that.

Then you can replay it in a year or so with a different character.

If you're looking to dig into an excellent CRPG and are not sure what else to play right now, do yourself a favor. If you're not craving it that much right now, wait until the next big patch which is supposed to address kingdom management even further than this current patch does.

God bless whoever invented Sirocco. Big, small, good, evil, solo, swarms? Into Sirocco it goes. I'm gonna name my first kid Sirocco. :salute:

Worked wonders in Pitax. U can add salt to injury by adding a web spell or movement impairing AE spells on top of it, so those high save rolling dicks will have to roll twice to move.
Wonder what would happen if you cast 2 Siroccos on top of each other..
I prefer obsidiant flow and tar.

The only drawback of sirocco is that it lasts far too long and is far too dangerous to cross with your own party, so you have to waste valuable buff time waiting for it to dissipate.

Not strong enough, and afaik won't prevent people from falling over and getting exhausted.

In the City House on the Edge of Forever Time does the mist always teleport you into the other reality or does it sometimes just teleport you to a different map or different part of the map?

So, how to win that Bald Hilltop fight with a lot of fuckers spamming fear and immobilizing my party?

Freedom of movement has been mentioned, but I think if you rank up high priest you'll eventually make a decision about selecting a patron God of some kind, I selected Cayden Cailean the drunk.

If you complete the related project, you will get immunity to fear on your territory.
