There's no real need or advantage to it, I guess. Custom companions have stupid levels of point buys anyways.

If everyone were on the same level for point buys and you could use mercenaries as advisors, I'd totally do a run with my own pose.

valerie cant hit the side of a barn and amiri cant tank even if her life depends on it.

everyone else is excellent,tristian for healing/linzi for buffing/ekundayo for machine gunning/jubilost for force nades etc.

Slayers aren’t tanks. Playing Amiri as Slayer right now. She’s great - just whupped Armag’s ass.

Use Unity Console to boost the relevant ability score by 8 points, to offset the penalty

Please. You can do that with any class. If you can't hit the broadside of the barn with a full BAB class don't blame Val and I don't even know what you're doing with Amiri, but mercs are the last item on the list of things that'll help you. You're barking up the wrong tree and wasting time that would be better spent learning how to play better.

Using her new Ring of Reckless Courage to hit 22 DC. Earlier she hit two out of three with a Slow to make things a lot easier.

Against Womb Owlbear pre-Ring:



Nok-nok "tanking" the Big One:



You can see the results of Slayer Crippling Strike taking his STR bonus down at this point from 22 to 17. Against less ridiculous mobs it takes a big chunk out of their hit chances and CMD. Was really missing Freebooter and Death From Above that fight or he might have been down a lot further.
