You can also use pets or the wyverns figurines.
Yes, you can solo that dungeon once you have the wyvern from Womb of Lamashtu. Expeditious Retreat helps as well. I'm not sure if Owlcat did that intentionally to enable solo play, but kudos to them in any case.

If you're not already soloing, that fight against the undead party isn't trivial solo.

Alright boys I've made some important discoveries.

CVm7xav.png

For testing purposes I respecced Jubilost into Grenadier 2/Arcane Bomber 4 and I noticed a few things:
- Precise Bombs discovery works with Arcane Bombs.
- Bombardier's Utility Belt and the feat Extra Bombs only increases the Alchemist's bomb uses per day, so it doesn't double dip.
- BOTH the Alchemist's bombs and Arcane Bombs damage scales with levels into Arcane Bomber. At Grenadier 2/Arcane Bomber 2 the bombs start doing 2d6 damage.
- Acerbic Ring double dips with Arcane Bombs, 1 ring increases the damage of Arcane Bombs by 2d6, 2 increase it by 4d6. While Alchemist's Bombs only get a 1d6 increase.
- Sneak attack works with Bombs on the main target. 5d6 damage late game with Sense Vitals

There are a lot of posts that say Precise Bombs doesn't work with Arcane Bombs, but it looks like it does. Keep in mind that I took the 2 Grenadier levels first, then the Arcane Bomber levels, so maybe it doesn't work the other way around. I took the Acid Bombs discovery with Grenadier and acid damage with Arcane Bombs, maybe that's why Acerbic Ring double dips, who knows, I don't care enough to test other damage types. Arcane Bombs double dip even if you take Choking Bombs.

This makes Grenaider 2/Arcane Bomber 18 a very strong build IMO. At lvl 4 with 18 Int you have 12 Acid Bombs(same level Alchemist has 8 at this point) that deal 2d6+Int damage. Every level nets you more uses and scales damage. Not only that but you're a Wizard with level 9 spells that can specialize into Conjuration early and into another school later, maybe Necromancy. Profane staff is also a good idea.

Goddamn it, now I'll have to restart my playthrough again.

Edit: You can also take Choking Bombs at lvl 2 instead of Acid Bombs for even more control and less damage. Definitely a thing to consider.
Edit2: Target reflex with Grease and fortitude with Choking Bombs.

I would cut Abjuration, Enchantment and Evocation without any problems. Fourth one is debetable.

Well I wouldn't cut Divination due to Sense Vitals, sneak attacks work with Bombs(only main target). Transmutation is too valuable. I would have to cut either Necromancy or Illusion and the one I keep is the second spell focus for late game.

Edit: On second thought, Sense Vitals might not be worth it without Fast Bombs...

Necromancy can be useful for certain enemies. For example, Spawn has pitiful fortitude saves, even on Unfair. You can cheese him with plague storm. I'd go for Illusion. I don't remember any illusion spells that were impactful.

Well being without mirror image makes you squishy as shit, but I guess you can quicken Dimension Door. Illusion has Weird and some meh spells for late game. Necromancy has Animate Dead which is OP, and there's lots of late game damage spells, plus Waves of Exhaustion.

Speaking of which. It's funny how enemy aggro works sometimes. Sometimes ranged units will immediately switch priority to your back line. Often times they're perfectly content with missing on the tank.

Yeah bombs are super nice for boss fights but I'm not sure I'd give up 2 levels and four schools for it

That said nearly all the Wiz schools are shit so if I was gonna make a Wizard suppose I would consider it

Sacrifice spell progression and some late game power for a very strong early game.
Keep in mind that this character has an Intellect bonus amount of bombs more than any Alchemist of the same level.

Any way to NOT have to use Amiri? On Twice Born Warlord? She is lv 6, with starting gear and i an playing on hard. My lv 12 MC could kill this barbarians in 20 seconds. But her is having a really hard time.

I hate this parts where you are forced to play with a specific character; it it nos fun or engaging! It is just a chore and a torment. I an really thinking on put on story mode only to end this torment. Just like i had to lower the difficulty on kotor 2 when you are forced to play with a poor party member vs a army. I wanna play my MC, not Amiri.

Can someone explain to me why Soothing Performance is curing undead instead of damaging them? According to the description it should work like mass cure serious wounds, which should damage undead.

Are you talking about her infiltrating the camp? Just lose, the game still progresses. It only affects her personal quest, and you presumably don't care about that if you've left her half the level of your MC.

And on a not-so-related note, why is Archon's Aura affecting my raised dead?

Archon Aura affects any NPC, friendly or otherwise. Probably shouldn't be like that but that's how it is in the game.
No, it shouldn't. The description (both in-game and on d20PFSRD) clearly says "hostile creatures". Guess it's time to report some bugs :salute:
